I have always believed that Paul McCartney has received far too little credit for the fantastic bass guitar work he supplied with the Beatles, which is very evident in this song. W/O Paul's magical bass line the song would still be good but maybe not great. Just my 2 cents.

I learned to play this song a few years ago. Prior to learning it I had been under the assumption that the main acoustic guitar part in this song was played on 2 guitars. I always thought this because of how the song has bass and higher notes played almost simultaneously. It is amazing how full the one acoustic guitar sounds in this song.It uses drop D tuning [The low E is tuned to D].This song is not that difficult to learn because it has basically one fingerpicking pattern
