  • I remember this match. I'd heard a lot about Rafa, but this was the first time I'd seen him play, and it was quickly very obvious to me why he was being labelled by some as the next Bjorn Borg.

  • Too bad he hasn't played like this since 2005. I want this non-cowardly Rafa back.

  • "This return, 154, which is considerably faster than the serve.."

  • he goes like pfffft that was nothing

  • Well, we (Spanish) are the best

  • @HorusTheDarkEye

    And barcelona the rest

  • unusual rafa return

  • which one is nadal?

  • @historian111z haha well the title says rafael nadal awesome forehand.....wouldnl't you think he would be the one who hit the forehand winner? hahaha ;) rafa is the one with the headband. you gotta know who rafa is, he's number one in the world!!!! :)

  • haha, lol he turns away from his shot as if he does it everyday.

  • i can beat rafael nadal

  • @IKnowWereYouSleep and i can fuck your mom...why you all pigs don't admit rafa is the best? because he's spaniard? fuck you all---

  • @liammojete i can beat roger federer

  • @liammojete

***** dich selber du idiot ^^

  • @IKnowWereYouSleep and i can fuck your mom...rafa is the best, but he's spaniard so that seemo to be a problem for you all...fuck you all

  • @liammojete i can beat david nalbandian

  • sleeved shirt on rafas torso in 2004??? ohh didn't know that, lol, great return

  • he looked like federer on that

  • nothing special ..

  • Rafa: "Mada mada Dane."

  • graphics are worse than my cell phone....

  • Forehand is almost as good as mine

  • @quest8899 you must be roger federer !

  • not entirely in my opinion. He can still play his down the left line forehand very well and in a more orthodox manner. But i think he doesn't use his over the shoulder forehand enough to control points like he used to

  • he should change his forehand to that type when he plays the taller guys like del potro he would win alot of matches against them that way del potro seems 2 luv the height of his current forehand masters in london should be great

  • ...ooo the younger years...i think depending how he ages in tennis years...i hope he wont be like hewitt an old 29 year old...instead be a young 29 like agassi where he won alot at his age....

  • wtf r u talking about... i hope nobody articulates themselves at any age as mentally challenged as you.

Also, according to your mentally challenged logic, youth defines victory while old age is symbolic for failure?

  • ...haha noo need hide behind a computer and attack me buddy...

...i didnot mean youth defines victory and old age symbolizes failure....basically i hope nadal doesnt go through wut hewitt is going through now...a great career at an early age and now declining as injuries at age 28...

...andre agassi in his later years won alot of title and slams...and i hope nadal does the same and stays solid until the end of his career....

...im sorry if that offended u in any way....

  • I see. I have not watched much tennis, when Rafa started as a Pro. I would like him to see playing more aggressively, because his out-of-defence style seems to be very tiring.

In this particular video he returns as Agassi often did, whereas Federer mostly returns savely to bring the ball into play and starts attacking afterwards.

  • Has Rafa changed his style?

  • his return, 154. Significantly faster than the serve, only 138... lol

  • @rayn888 Haha, yeah the commentator did say that, didn't he, lol. One of federermagic's great videos!

  • I'd kill to see him return like that these days.

  • hes actually closer on the baselin there than he is nowadays, he doesnt even return second serves from that far in... Im HOPING that the loss to murray has taught him something because apparently he was very aggressive on the return in the second set.

  • nadal is very aggressive when he is confident, but when his confidence dips he goes far behind the baseline and plays too defensive! its a mental thing for him, he just has to do it for the whole match! and he said he is so far back to return is because he likes to take a bigger swing at the ball, so i guess he prefers more time for a bigger swing than taking the ball early, i think he should mix it up a bit more! he just needs to fine tune his game and it will be difficult to stop him!
