Shannon took a page out of Khorkina's book in trying to make that mistake look like part of the routine. Great job! Shannon was the greatest America ever had, and that includes the celebrities who are posing as gymnasts today.
@beautifulsarah100 Or maybe Khorkina took a page out of Shannon's book :) Agreed, Shannon was the greatest...I've always admired her, she was so humble and didn't care for the spotlight...she let her gymnastics speak for itself.
@IRunFastest Ha ha - yeah, if Khorkina DID take anything from Shannon, she'd be too proud to ever admit it. Agreed back: Shannon had little to say but plenty to do and she did it the best. Khorkina on the other hand had plenty to say AND do.
such beautiful gymnastics, and i agree that full in was very low to the ground, you could really see it in the slow motion, BUT that is the sign of a true champion, who could pull something like that off and not get a deduction, there were signs of her greatness even back then. ~love ya shannon~
