Neil Diamond wasn't a bad songwriter in his day and The Monkees style and performance made the song a #1 hit. It was nice hearing the song in Shrek again, but nothing can touch this version.

actually, 1st of all, shrek was the outer ring of this song. 2nd, it sucked in the movie cus u had a big fat green piece of shit singing it. 3rd, that was smash mouth's version, this version iswaaaayyyyyyyy better
