I love to hear everyone talking about "Gun Control".....wow is that a oxymoron term. We all who have a brain in our heads and common sense know damn well it's not the guns who kill people!!! Things I've heard people call their babies that aren't human children: Their car, garage, tools, tool boxes, smart phones, laptops, game systems, motorcycles, boats, airplanes, toy trains, etc. Only when you call a firearm your baby do silly ignorant people start calling you nuts.

As I watch this video, I cannot help to question whether this video was made solely for the purpose of making gun owners look bad. This video was conveniently used in the political debates a few years ago as well. A more ridiculous video couldnt have been made for such an event. Can someone please! help me im dying here, there are so many gun laws left and right i just dont know how im gonna get my first gun im 17 my dad is willing to let me get a Ruger 10/22 .22LR rifle for my first basic plinker. Your first step would be to turn 18. You can't legally own a gun in Michigan until you are of age. Next would be to go buy one and don't lie on the questionaire. You can buy long guns anytime, but pistols require a permit to purchase. Have your dad go with you to tge gun store so they understand your not just a kid buying a gun to do something you shouldn't.

If he pulled you over for a traffic violation and you didn't have bullets or casings all over the car he had no probable cause to ask you if you had any weapons.

Hey love1617, you probably got into trouble because you didn't have a permit to carry! The 2nd Amd. gives the right to keep (have in possession of) and bear (carry open). As soon as you got into the car, the gun was concealed and you were breaking the law. You need a permit to concealed carry.

There are legal ways to "Conceal carry" without needing a permit. Like keeping it locked, or in a zippered pouch, unloaded, and in the glove compartment should do the trick.

I would actually do your research on that, because a lot of countries with strict guns laws actually have higher rates of violent crime than the US. And you can even look at California Vs. New Mexico; California has stupid strict gun laws, and their crime rate is through the roof. Look at NM, and the crime rate is far lower per capita then CA. Why? Because in NM it is legal to own and carry a weapon, in your vehicle or on your person. Criminals don't want to get shot either.

And, there are many training courses that teach self-defense tactics while in a vehicle, and not just for LEO

Actually, I own 3 AR rifles (16", 20", & 24" barrels) that I put together myself. I also have Springfield 1911 loaded model, and I'm going to be building a 1911 frame up as well. Your first step would be to turn 18. You can't legally own a gun in Michigan until you are of age. Next would be to go buy one and don't lie on the questionaire. You can buy long guns anytime, but pistols require a permit to purchase. Have your dad go with you to tge gun store so they understand your not just a kid buying a gun to do something you shouldn't.

Hey love1617, you probably got into trouble because you didn't have a permit to carry! The 2nd Amd. gives the right to keep (have in possession of) and bear (carry open). As soon as you got into the car, the gun was concealed and you were breaking the law. You need a permit to concealed carry.

There are legal ways to "Conceal carry" without needing a permit. Like keeping it locked, or in a zippered pouch, unloaded, and in the glove compartment should do the trick.

Whoever uses it in a way that causes a person to die; that person should be held accountable.
Unless it is an act of self defense.
Education is the key to safety.
Just like they teach safe sex in schools they should teach gun safety in schools as well.
Young students need to know not to touch a gun and to tell an adult.
Older kids should be taught to not touch them without adult supervision and the Fundamental Rules of Gun Handling.

Since you live in Norway you really need to only be concerned with crime in your country. The People of the United States have Rights defined in the Bill of Rights in our Constitution. I think too many people outside to United States think that Americans have guns everywhere in the house loaded and where kids can get them.
This is not true.

I would actually do your research on that, because a lot of countries with strict guns laws actually have higher rates of violent crime than the US. And you can even look at California Vs. New Mexico; California has stupid strict gun laws, and their crime rate is through the roof. Look at NM, and the crime rate is far lower per capita then CA. Why? Because in NM it is legal to own and carry a weapon, in your vehicle or on your person. Criminals don't want to get shot either.

Car theft is actually not considered a violent crime, unless it was car jacked, in which case it is a violent crime. And to an extent, yes, the average citizen would not be able to defend themselves from an armed car jacker, unless that citizen had the gun on their person, and when he/she exits the vehicle, then they are on an equal playing field, where yes, they can defend them selves. And, there are many training courses that teach self-defense tactics while in a vehicle, and not just for LEO

But when gangsters see a guy walking around with a gun on their hip, they know that if they pick a fight with this guy, or want to steal from him, they know that he has the means to react and defend himself. Just having that gun on makes criminals leave you alone. And if the gun's presence doesn't stop the criminal, that is what the combined effect of the Gun, bullets, and proper gun use comes into play. No one is bullet proof.

After WW2 was over, German Soldiers and American soldiers worked together to root out remnants of the Nazi party, and worked together to help Holocaust victims. Actually, I own 3 AR rifles (16", 20", & 24" barrels) that I put together myself. I also have Springfield 1911 loaded model, and I'm going to be building a 1911 frame up as well. It's just sad it's becoming more and more difficult for law abiding citizens to get firearms while it really doesn't affect criminal access to them. Crime happens with or without guns too.

That makes perfect sense. I mean, a rifle that's good for killing a 300lb deer can't possibly be useful for an assassination. And a revolver that could penetrate a police officer's vest couldn't possibly be useful defending yourself against a bear.

Frankly, I am wondering why we are having this debate since its a right, not a privilege to own a gun. Any legal types out there should know what this distinction means. Doesn't surprise me though since the Dems are also attacking free speech rights under the guise of political correctness and hate crimes legislation.

Some time ago I was talking to a state police officer. He told me that on any given night, the area he patrolled was so large that he could be up to 30 minutes away from a 911 call. Therefore, I protect my home with a Remington 870 12 guage.
Don't expect the Dummycrats to care if citizens can protect themselves. They live in a "Feel Good World" and think that if they make something illegal - it will go away. IDIOTS!

they arent safe if democrats and at least 2 of the republicans become president. example: feinstine (mentioned in the debates) has recently sponsored a bill to ban "long range sniper rifles [aimed at the .50 bmg] so better make a big fuss about it now before another useless legislation is passed.)

I think gun ownership is ok,as long as there mentaly stable and dont have a criminal record.But how do you work out if someones going to go nuts with one.
what do you do with your "baby",display it ,go to a range and shoot it.
think its a bit big to say its for your protection.I would be worried if my neighbour had one of those under his bed.
Im living in the top gun crime place in the uk and its frightening.

I hunt, shoot at a range, and take it out during presidential debates...LOL. I don't use it for protection as I have a .32 cal. for that. This gun gives you a rush, that's why it is fun to shoot (besides the fact it that it is extremely accurate).

There is no limit in the US on how many guns we can own. Right now, I have 12...and yes, they are all locked up in a safe. That is just part of being a responsible gun owner.

Well, if some of our "fellow" citizens had it their way, our rights would be stripped away and we'd be at the mercy of anyone that sought to do us harm or oppress us. We may seem barbaric to some, but we are prepared to defend ourselves if need be

Not all states are Class 3 friendly.Also known as Title 2 firearms. States that do not allow class 3 weapons. And that also includes SBR(SHORT BARREL RIFLES) ILL,AL,HI,NY,WA and RI. However, laws do change, check with the ATF FOR CURRENT LAWS.

First of all that gun is worse looking than it really is. Second, why did they have to play a question from a guy that makes all gun owners nuts. Not that there is anything wrong with him. He just doesn't look like a good rep for the cause. Yet, another liberal media attempt to make the dems look good on TV
