  • hahahaha everybody know how to set up the mic on the drum kit, but we want to hear the F quality of these mics dudde, I'm sure you can do a better video than this one.

  • you've mounted the overheads pointing at the walls you idiot.

  • word to both of those guys comments

  • im glad i know what they look like now im gunna buy them thanks

  • Hey man, sorry to say that but this is a useless piece of video. You should have given us a list of the microphones you use and some info about your drums at least.

Also there is definitely a lot of space to improve your video technique mate! :)))

  • We all know exactly what they look like, you dumbass...........

  • waste of time , you might as well showed me a picture of a miced drum kit for 1.41 min

  • have your overheads got a pickup on the side or top i think they might be the wrong way

  • most useless video of all time...why would we want to look at your mics ? I was hoping to hear the drums recorded with the mics. Nonsense.

  • omg bloody sticks!

  • nice seup man....if you wanna hear how they sound...check out my videos, same drum mics on a mapex m birch kit...damianmullins in the search bar....

  • Wheres the part when you play the fucking drum and show us how these mics sound. Be useful.

  • @che1fg O my god! He stole a minute and a half out of your life! Grow up!

  • looks like some of the mics will get in your way like the floor tom and the snare mics

  • neumann overheads

sm on top and bottom snare

    beta in and out kick

    e904s or md421s on toms

    shure directional on hat

royer ribbon mics for MS or neumann 184's for ORTF

compaired to these mics... the truth is its not the mic, its the editor ad the user. just in the digital world though, because you can't put a samsung mic through an Amek or an SSL...

  • The drummer, Cobus, on youtube uses these mics.

  • Don't mean to sound like an ass, but I'm looking at Samson drum mics, and there are no videos on youtube of someone using them(as I've noticed). Would someone be able to post a video of them in action or tell me which video shows what they sound like?

  • Overhead mics should be turned. In this position are picking sides sound, not direct drum sound. The light should point to the drums. Forgive my poor english, I am from Argentina.

  • your over head mics should have a small blue light from the phantom power when they are plugged in. the only side that actually picks up sound is the side with the light so you shouldnt make the mics face straight down. you should angle the mics so the side with the blue light goes straight over drums, and the mic should look horizontal.

  • the side with the blue light is where the pattern of that mic starts ! not the only place it picks up from

  • All the gear - no idea !! lol

  • Your two overheads are not placed correctly. These mikes are side adressed, witch means they capture sounds from one side (usually the one with the logo).

  • what mics? the TOM 1 and TOM 2?

  • I talked about the overheads... the mics on top of the drum... those get the sound from the side...

  • Nice mic's and kit....I only have a AKG Perception 150 condenser micing my Stage Custom and I love it....can you post a clip of you playing your kit mic'd up?

  • dude can u play these i would really like to hear them

  • y didnt u play it

  • youre fat.

  • Hey man, what the hell?!?! you show the drum kit, you show the mics and don't play?!?!?!

Please, i know that you can upload a better video, with some playing thing o something. Come on!!!

  • Turn your overheads around- they're facing the wrong way- would like to hear what they sound like too!

  • PLEASE post a video of you playing it

  • NO PLAY?

  • Hmmm! not the best sounding but looks like you have you Samson C1 overheads mics in the wrong pos dude!. They have to face the drum set and you have them facing to the air! The LED should be facing down to the drum set to capture the cymbals! ... That's my tip of the day for you! Need more pointers? let me know..

  • you should of played it.

  • do you really need to mic both toms?

  • wow you don't know anything about recording do you?

  • you dont need to mic both. you can put one in the middle and mic both at the same time. although youll loose the drums carachter and tone

  • u talking bout me? not knowing anythign bout recording
