  • just got my first bike(cbr 600F4i).. only been riding for a few weeks, helped me alot, thx..

  • Geez, don't talk, show!

  • I got motion sickness from watching this video. ppppppppuuuuukkkkkkkkkkeeeeeee

  • What kind of pipe are you using?

  • You dont have to be execrating, just easing on the throttle while still being able to decelerate adds a gyroscopic effect and puts the whole bike under more tension for better rear wheel traction

  • Your from what part in kt. I'm from tn. Hit me up

  • sry is it just me or are you riding veryyy slowly

  • cheers man helped a lot just got cbr250 slowly getting the hang of it all keep posting

  • "lines are the most important think when your riding" mmm cocaine

  • Neat. Thanks to the Hwy signs and Google Maps, I figured out this was done in Murray, KY, turing from US641 onto KY94. You pass KY280 at the end of the video where you mention "the snail". Now, where is that exactly? I ride an MZ Baghira

  • OMG!! Did Obama get a sportbike?. What a load of BS! Learn how to ride before you try to teach others how to do it.

  • @ViewMine i wasnt teaching others to ride in this video...i was giving tips that i wish people wouldve given me...thanks for the critisim...

  • @ViewMine read the description tool bag..... he learned himself, so why not try to give some tips.... instead of acting like your the corner king.... tool bag probably don't even own a bike.... go back to trolling the internet tool bag... Nice vid clutch, always good to have people bring some tips in to this world.

  • what bike are you riding?

  • I enjoy your tour

  • be carefull riding your bike my friend, focus on the road and stop talking.. LOL

  • No Wonder people think motorcycle riders are crazy. They're all talking to themselves. lol

  • I couldn't finish watching this video - the camera shakes way too much. May you can mount it on your shoulder or the bike itself and just use the mic in your helmet.

  • man no offense meant but you are one of those people who shouldnt video blog while riding. You say uh at least 50 times and you take 3 minutes to complete a single sentence. Not that the info isnt pretty good, just that its nearly impossible to extract what youre saying from all the waiting for you to finish a sentence. This video would have been better if you just rode, then dubbed over it a few quick tips. video was 10 minutes long but only contained about 3 useful sentences.

  • @FreedomisHistory exactly what i was thinking haha

  • You just have to ride. The more you are on your bike the better you get. All this advice that people give on youtube is basically just common knowledge that anyone with a decent amount of seat time already knows.

  • Just watch Twist the wrist II and it will all be explained

  • @fsxdave24 Can't agree more with you. SR's were making me lose interest in riding until I watched the vid and read the book. Now corners are just so much to be enjoyed, regardless of pace!

  • Giving it more gas when your knees on the ground, gives you more rear grip, but reduces your front wheel grip, because as the rear squats...The front lifts up. Knee down is pretty easy, I wouldn't reccomend doing it on the road until you have done it a few times. But for anyone who wants to do it...Have one butt cheek off your seat, balls of your feet on the end of the peg and lean the front of your body over the front of the bike. Its easy!

  • @TheGambinoKid "Upper part of your body over the front wheel of the bike, you want more weight over the front tyre :)"

  • I'm no expert, But I just thought I'd tell you, never shift in the corner, let it rev up if you have to but shifting can cause you to lose traction and lowside. I know I almost had it happen once :(

  • >>>>>>>>...........so to recap: is my 125cc just a bit light at speed making it unstable, AND will my skinny tires still grip when i eventually get my bike to lean? please reply if its in your nature.

  • @MrAeos Your tyres will grip, but only to a certain extent...I've give a little explaination on cornering further up the comments if you would like to read :)

  • >>>>>>>>>>.....back to interstate roads....now that im tucked behind my cockpit will i be doing the same butt dance as i would on more angled street corners.....here in the UK the interstates have long winding roads.( un like what you have where you'd be suprised to meet a bend...BLAME the tv program Top Gear for that one)....

  • >>>>>>>> but this leads me to cornering...often i find that i cant get the bike to turn without dramatically slowing down (on normal streets) Have since watched a few you tube videos that all seem to say that you must shift your butt cheek/and weight into the direction you wish to turn

  • hi . i loved your video because of the scenery of Kentucky which is a rare thing to see here in the UK. ive just started riding, a 125cc and found the bike to be very light and susceptible to wind gust at speeds higher than 50mph . is this because the bike is light ? will i get used to it more as i practice ? to be really honest i get s*it scared doing 55mph. last trip out i try'd "hiding" behind the cockpit. which secured me to the bike a heck of a lot more. >>>>

  • dude, nice, i live in that town too, isnt the stadium parking lot great for teaching motorcycle basics. lol thats where i learned on my first one.

  • this was pretty much a complete waste of my time..thanks for nothing

  • Damn what a waste of time...I could've went to church...

  • I know you meant well, but you really didn't share that much that was worth learning on your video. For the most part you rode in a straight line. I was looking for tips about cornering and the most I got out of your video was to throttle while turning. It was pretty much a waste of time. Sorry.

  • Comment removed

  • dude figure out what your gonna say be for you say it this vid is painful to watch !

  • agreed man :) cracking the throttle mid corner is always good, the crank, tires, chain and sprocket all add a stabilizing effect...also a little rear brake in a corner entrance or exit can really settle a wobbling chassis :) good video dude

  • Man, now is all clear :)... Thank you very very much from a guy with a "new" bike and 3 rides on it.

  • @crash86ed yea I've had 2 track days since this video...people are still yelling at me and now I'm like a lot better...I just wanted to tell people what was helping me get better...cause no body was helping me...so I made the video to tell what I learned from riding with my friend...however...I hadnt been riding with him long in this vidicon know a lot more now...

  • **Backroads... You shouldn't really have to worry about that unless you're in the city or on the highway or something....

  • @cpuspeed I think we're saying the same thing...I was saying you want to be in the center because if you're on the inside a car can/will be over the yellow lane and hit you..if you're already in the middle...(you not the bike)...you don't have to adjust and if you do it won't be as much...and as for oil and debris....debris is random...it can be anywhere on the road...that's a uncontrollable variable...as for oil from cars...it's never really been a problem for me on these kentucky backspa

  • @favthings that's not always the best choice...I've been riding for a year and a half and I'm faster that some of those instructors.... The things ime telling you on this video are things vie learned from an advanced rider...who does advanced track days...just because they took a few classes doesn't mean they're professionals...an I certainly don't claim to be one either...just saying...don't waste your money...

  • IF you want to learn to ride properly go to a track and take lessons from trained professionals, dont watch youtube videos of people riding around in the street !

  • To continue about what line to take on the street. First, the center of the lane is not where you want to be. The center has all the oil and debris from cars. You want to be either on the left or right of the center of the lane. In sweeping turns this helps determine what line to take. If it is a left sweeper you want to be on the right of center, as you lean over, you lean over the lane, not over the yellow line.

  • Thanks. Wish i had nice flat roads like that to practice on. Here in Vancouver it's all hills :(

  • I just got an r6 myself and I find my self almost going into the other lane wenever I take a very slow corner. Any advise?

  • @0600Brenda

    go slower or get lower

  • @0600Brenda lean the piece of crap down further, counter steering, don't be afraid to fall try it and learn where your bike starts slipping and where it still has grip

  • bike sounds like raspy shit.

  • you dont know anything dude. lmao

  • thank you because i am a new beginner at this i still have a ways to go....

  • @39begin no prob...im glad to see this vid has helped more people than it hurt...i been meaning to make a 2nd one but my comp sucks now..

  • thank you because i am a new beginner

  • where can i find the same cam with voice recorder! i love the quality!

  • @abdalhamedhotmail im using a flip mino hd...and i have it velcroed in my helmet...

  • @Clutchisback1 bro ive got a sony bloggie hd, which is very similar to your flip.. how the hell do you velcro it inside the helmet?

  • yeah good lesson keep teaching

  • gasing in the corner should be done with lots of care because most the riders fail at giving the adequete throttle.too much gas most probably you'll end up crashing

  • @franian77 thats why you start on a low power bike lol

  • @franian77 that's because people ride bikes that are more powerful than what they should be riding.

I think the guy in the video understands some basic concepts, but isn't using the terminology lol.

Also, dragging knee is a BIPRODUCT of a lot of things. It shouldn't be a goal. It'll happen when it happens.

  • @crash86ed all true statements...now let me defend my self on why i wanted to drag my knee...lol..before i got my bike i wanted to be a kneedragger...my 2 goals before i got my bike were one...get my bike...2...drag my knee...so thats why i was kinda pumped about it and talking about it like that...lol...now i do it like when ever...i need to make another vlog...

  • @Clutchisback1

i strongly suggest giving trackdays a try. this looks like NC, but im sure im wrong...

  • @franian77 this is a thumbs up save your life suggestion here!!!!

  • In terms of fuel economy, Is it the higher or lower the gear you save gas or the lower the RPM???

  • @Henberry7 usually lower rpm will save more gas, higher rpm will have the motor/engine working more which will burn more gas. Imagine you on a "spinning" exercise stationary bike at the Lifetime Fitness, and keeping the resistance the same, pedal real fast versus pedal medium (cruising), you'll find your heart rate will feel it when going fast!

  • What RPM do you usually cruise at?

  • @RocketBurn11 i set it to 6th and cruise as low as possible to save gas....

  • what kind of exhaust??

  • @frostyisag10 what kind of exhaust do i have? its a scorpion...a crappy one that fell of when i came down off a wheelie....it wasnt ment for my bike and someone kinda rigged it for it to fit...things caused me a lot of headache...it leaks air like crazy too now...

  • @Clutchisback1 that's weird?!?! i have a scorpion on my zx6r that WAS made for my bike but it doesn't have as nice of a low grumble!! maybe it's just the camera...i'm hoping to get an r6 soon

  • @frostyisag10 thats probably because your exaughst is working properly...lol...mine has air flowing out of the mid pipe...cause it doesnt fit....lol...but yea...get an r6....itll be the best decision you ever made..then get a 15 50 tooth ratio....if you have the 03-05 model....that will be the second best decision you make....

  • uummm ummm ammmm uummmm eerrrrr...

    that sound really anoyying...

  • Comment removed

  • All sounded good except the part about when you accelerate. With the way a bikes swing arm is angled when you accelerate it causes the bike to raise up giving you more ground clearance which is what we want. Great video.

  • @Jeremybaland thanks...yea im prolly wrong about a few things in this vid...need to make a new one...this is kinda stuff ive learned over my 1 year of riding...things that have helped me progress...you should check out my track day vid and see how far along ive come from since this very video...i wanted this vid to be easier for complete noobs to understand without using any technical terms...when i was looking at other peoples tips vids on here it was hard to understand what they ment sometimes

  • @Clutchisback1 Well one thing I can say for sure your explainations are better than what I could do. Thats awesome if have been able to pick all that up in a year of riding. Ride safe and keep doing the videos. For some people this is all they have to learn from :)

  • @Jeremybaland thanks man...i appreciate that...

  • Sorry man...........but 30 seconds of relevant information was dragged out over 9 minutes of boring country town riding. Make it short & sweet or else you are just wasting our viewing time. Dont mean to be negative!

  • @pawaqatsi no thanks...i need that criticism... next time ill do that...make it short as possible....i shouldve made a list...instead of just winged it...thanks...

  • Like the video man! You give some good advice! I have a Honda 919, not nearly what the R6 can do, but it gives me a thrill riding! What kind of camera/microphone you use when recording?

I don't have any riding videos up yet but plan on some soon, I do have some other bike vids of my bike tho. Check it out and let me know what you think!

  • @osiris1025 im just using a flip mino hd....its a small camera....i got it for like 120 brand new off ebay....they go for 199 on their site....but you can customize it there...i just put some velcro on it and inside my helmet and threw itt in there...its a great camera...and im glad you liked this...im going to make another one soon now that ive been riding a lot harder and crazier....oh and dont forget to sub!!

  • great vid man. Im gonna take the riding class pretty soon, i just didnt wanna hop on a bike not knowing what to expect. Lol @ "Oh-Ten" that was hilarious

  • @MistaMadd1223 yea thats kinda what i did...lol...i didnt take any course...i took the written test and had one day on my friends superhawk 1000 learning how to shift...lol...thats all the bike experience i had before i got my bike...lol...you should be fine....

  • Awesome video dude! You could vlog about how to properly warm up your tires before taking your motorcycle into twisties. I’m pretty new to riding myself and how I try to warm up my tires are in tight z patterns. Unfortunately someone in my neighborhood called the cops on me for “self destructive” riding =/ I was tempted to find out who it was and pull a burnout on their driveway!

  • @dunksnshorts yea thats a good idea...i think ill do that...thanks man...make sure you subscribe for the juicy updates...im comming out with an advanced riding tutorial vid...you dont wanna miss...

  • good tips, maybe you can change the title to a more explanatory one :)

  • @luqddevil like what? motorcycle riding tips...wait i got you...

  • make some more vids

  • @kerleydue about what? name it ill make it....unless its gay...

  • hey, cool video, and pretty nice tips. thanks

  • @scrappiedoo600 thanks...feel free to ask questions...
