I don't see any problem with this performance. Bálint Karosi's movements don't bother me anymore. I get it. He's passionate. The organ here seems a bit out of tune. No doubt an instrument of this size is difficult to keep in top shape.
"all that moving around is obnoxious and does nothing for the music." are you serious? are all organists supposed to play like machines? why is it okay for pianists, violinists, flautists, etc. to move around but not organists? ridiculous
what is your point with a rude comment like that come on think there is nothing wrong with this guy 's playing I like an organist that plays with passion
Excellent, however just a bit more dynamics to let Liszt fly. A better instrument would add more to this good performance. Liszt just cant get into air with this. Feels like Jumbo on runway. Impressive when it really starts to fly....
Could you tell us any more information about this piece? Is this Franz's interpretation of what might have come into Contrapunctus XIV at the introduction of Bach's own name?
You play very well, even with a chromatic sounding piece like this. And you don't do as many accentuations as Ton Koopman does (which is a good thing, imo). In your 542 video for instance, your rendition of the fugue is nearly perfect.
nice job!

The room sounds dead, even while empty.
Keep it moving, son.
What is this hooty kit of whistles your playing, anyway?

Average interpretation, all that moving around is obnoxious and does nothing for the music, the organ is ugly and out of tune.

this is the fugue of a completely separate piece....on the letters B-A-C-H (B flat -A - C - B)

The Präludium und Fuge über das Motiv B-A-C-H,
Nice playing if a bit fortissimo at times due to compression/decompression of youtube, but nice overall playing.
