  • excellent

  • I'm watching this on CrunchBang right now :)

  • nice review which will be faster bodhilinux or CB?, have 800MHz CPU running on 512MB RAM.

  • @gychang00 Tough call, I think the debian base of CB would be slightly lighter than the Ubuntu base of Bodhi, but both distros are very light, so the difference is probably minimal.

  • i thought this was based on Arch, not Debian?

  • @heminder ArchBang is based on Arch. :)

  • This is my the Linux Distro of choice. It's great for IT stuff, and I love the fact that you start with a blank slate. I've been running it as my main distro for non gaming stuff, and ive customized quite a lot and made it my own, and that is a really great feeling, you really feel like you know your pc and your os, and if something goes wrong, its probably your own fault. :)

  • What's with all the dislikes? Tim from OSGUI been here?

  • AWESOME PHIL REFERENCE! :D

  • As always nice review but i do feel that you did not give full props due to this OS. I agree with you that #! is not meant for new users but its resource allocation is unmatched by any other OS i have come across. More powerful than most mainstream OS's yet highly underrated. If you are a wanting to utilize all your systems resources for performance or a developer of any distro, #! is your OS!!

  • @stlsaint1 Hi there. Sorry, I did touch on #!'s resource allocation, but thanks for clarifying that info, people should thumb up your comment, it adds to the review. Thx. :-)

  • Wow, nice distro and great review, the Openbox WM is looking much better than I thought

  • A great review, as always. I'm gonna try this one out!

  • i'd like to see a review of Zorin OS; and btw, nice work!

  • Top Review Buddy.

  • Your reviews are awesome and concise!

    SBF

  • Debian + Openbox? That is a guaranteed combination. Openbox is my favorite WM. It is very efficient and can look great. I love the minimal look of it. Debian, well...that does not need to be elaborated. Debian is my second favorite distro, second only to Arch.

  • nice distro

  • I "liked"! Of course I care!

Thanks for the review, congratulations on 50th video, and keep it going!

  • I love Crunchbang. I'm running it right now (the XFCE edition) on an old PC I got a hold of, its just so suitable! Perfect lightweight distro!

  • Nice to know you follow PhillyD. Also, your channel is a very professional looking one.

Keep up the good work sir!

  • omg, man you're getting better and better at this, honestly your reviews are the best, one question how did you get so "knowledgeable " about linux??????

  • @avalanche8700 With each video/distro that I look into, I learn a bit more...thanks for the props! :-)

  • @InfinitelyGalactic that's the way to do it :) awesome work, stuff like this also helps the 'noobs' and gives back to the community

  • Arch linux should be next :)

  • "Fishing for something light weight"

  • @vasilacheanton Does it come with the software centre which Debian adopted from ubuntu distros (rather than having just synaptic alone)?

  • @TableWolfMusic It only has Synaptic out of the box.

  • This is my distro and i love it.

  • Nice review as always!

  • Good looking distro...

  • Cool video!

  • wow, great distro for working, I might try It for work.

Just one question does It have libre office?

  • @MrRafomaniac It doesn't have LibreOffice, but it does have a quick link to install OpenOffice. You can of course download LibreOffice from their website and just install the .deb .

  • @InfinitelyGalactic

idk if someone already said this, but you can install libreoffice with synaptic. :)

  • Cool

  • is this faster than bodhi on 800MHz older desktop?, don't like puppylinux.

  • @gychang00 try tinycore
