Two months ago, I posted the comment above stating that Squadron took the battle and lost because they were somewhat disrespectful and pissed off the judges. With that being said, let's forward to today. If Squadron repped the US in BOTY, I don't think Vagabond would have won the battle. It's clear and obvious that most ppl on this post agree Oh well! I think Battle Born is a good representative of America for BOTY International, they deserve to battle in BOTY International. Not because of their skill as an individual or as a crew, for everyone can see in this battle that they have it. The thing is, Squadron got that too. But I too would choose Battle Born because they're a crew, not a supercrew like Squadron, but a real crew repping a common home. Vegas, right? As far as what squadron is doing, it's been part of bboying competitions for a long time now. There is a limit not to cross, but it is part of a battle to try and mock your opponent, or mock their routine. Elnino probably didnt expect to touch that guy's leg (And you can see it in his face) and even the host didnt react. So roland had no rights to go ape shit and ruin it for everyone like he did. Heck even the dude who was footworking just continued.
No disrespect to El nino but saying that routines are whack is as ridiculous as saying footwork is better then power or the other way around.
Routines are part of bboying competition, if you want to keep it "raw" theres cyphers for that.

I still think squadron took this IMHO.
Also, battleborn's attitude really doesn't help, onstage AND here on youtube.
I read some of the comment's left by the members and it's really ridiculous.
You guys are supposed to be professionals. You don't see professional artists or athletes (Wtv you think bboying is) responding to hatefull comment in that way.
Also roland should honestly calm the fuck down, no need to kill the vibe of a whole competition over minor details.

@bboynaturalEMT saying we are professionals indicates that this is our profession. ALL of us have other jobs. Breaking doesn't pay our bills. Most of us have kids and or families to support and we compete and break because we love it. We are not superstars we are bboys. when other bboys talk shit in real life or online they get checked. We sacrifice a lot to do what we do and have a lot of passion and struggle behind us. Sometimes it doesn't come out in the prettiest way but this is us.. Peace

As far as what squadron is doing, it's been part of bboying competitions for a long time now. There is a limit not to cross, but it is part of a battle to try and mock your opponent, or mock their routine. Elnino probably didnt expect to touch that guy's leg (And you can see it in his face) and even the host didnt react. So roland had no rights to go ape shit and ruin it for everyone like he did. Heck even the dude who was footworking just continued.

No disrespect to El nino but saying that routines are whack is as ridiculous as saying footwork is better then power or the other way around.
Routines are part of bboying competition, if you want to keep it "raw" theres cyphers for that.
In a competition, routines are part of the game bro. Don't try destroying a whole aspect of the dance simply because you don't like it or you feel that it doesn't fit you. I think bboying gets enough categorization, no need to add some more.

At the end of the day, its just clowning, and battle tactics. If their battle tactics is to play dirty and clown really low like that, then the judges will see that, and depending on how it affects the other group and other factors, the judges will vote accordingly. Thats that.
