  • Some of you are very smug, why don't you take a chill pill or don't post your rude little comments.

  • I learned this in the 3rd grade. There was a deaf student in our class so her interpretor taught it to us. It stuck with me ever since, even though I've never had to really use it. I'm so grateful to have learned sign language at a young age. Never know when it might come in hand :)

  • I love this when I'm more advanced I'm going to use it but for now it's way to fast for me. Later it will be great!

  • I do not understand why people think it's too fast. The best way to learn something, and this has been proven, is to go at a fast speed, so that when you have to do it slowly it will seem slower, and thus easier. So if you learn the fast version, it will be easier slow. And also, how in the world would you sign a sentence slowly?

  • I am hard of hearing. This is not to fast, this is perfect. DONT stop it every 5 seconds. If you want to learn the language or ASL, you need to practice.

  • You know people... there is a pause button. If you're too lazy to take 5 seconds to pause the video at each letter than you probably don't have the patience to learn the language.

  • When I first started, i had to pause and rewind like a hundred times toO! but once you get used to it! you can sign the alphabet faster than the video! :D

  • THIS VIDEO SUCKS!

  • @pandapower63 Make you're own then. It's called YouTube for a reason.

  • hahaha

  • I just started learnin sign language and got it by playing this 5 times. Doin pretty good.

  • I have to agree, way too fast. Maybe it's intended for intermediate but I can tell you as someone starting out this was so useless that I will be looking for another site. Thank you anyway.

  • I got to H and then I got lost! SLOW DOWN!

  • you went to damn fast is was still at E and it was over

  • That was kinda fast

  • I actually thought the speed was perfect for someone just trying to practice the letters and thoroughly commit them to memory. 30 seconds of review. Thanks!

  • @twistedribbons pause button

  • This goes way to fast for anyone to get anything from it...

  • Culinan. Net is a colaborative network of people who want to share signs.

Let's make the Sign Language Shine !!

    -------- culinan.net ----------

Find on the top of the homepage the english flag to switch the whole website in English.

  • I put a sign language app on my phone for my granddaughter to use- just for " fun" n to learn Shes in kindergarten and when I pick her up from school everyday it's the first app she plays with. She's learned the entire alphabet already ( and she's a bit autistic).

  • It's a good speed for those of us who have learned the signs, but just need to practice them. There are other slower, more explanatory videos on here - check out BYU Fanatic's, for example.

  • hahahahahahahaha how this is too fast

  • Perfect. the G and H are correctly pointed outward to the other person and the M and N are real original and used by deaf for many years. straight out and up ...not pointing down like hearing people do it . this is the REAL American Manual Alphabet and speed is fine, if you know it. It is Just right.

  • @geejayatom if you know it then why on earth would you be watching it? i mea its like a collage kid singing his abc's

  • Does anyone else sign their M's and N's by taking three or two fingers, respectively and pointing them downwards completely?

  • It was reported on a Deaf dating site named Deafornot dot c om that 500,000 Deaf individuals in the United States claim American Sign Language (ASL) as their primary language.

  • I appreciate that you actually signed the letters the way you would really sign them...that is the "reader" sees them as they would be in real life. No turning the C sideways or the H and G palm out. Sound doesn't bother me..turn it down if it bugs you...

  • It's fine if you mute it, otherwise, it's confusing. Still, it is quite fast.

  • I like how you're complain about the sound not matching up to the video. Its sign language. nuff said?

  • The problem isn't necessarily that it's too fast, it's not discreet enough. Form the letter and say the letter. Pause. Remove the letter. Transition to/form the next letter and say the letter. Pause. Remove the letter. Repeat. When you are saying a letter while transitioning it is difficult to know if you are saying the letter you just formed or the letter you are transitioning to.

  • @kaitzi (for example, the hand symbol I know is X is up while "W" is still being said/is on screen. That is just plain stupid.)

  • totally messed up - sound doesn't match the letter, so it is confusing!

  • Yea this is too fast I gotta pause lol

  • GO FASTER UGH, ITS TO SLOW.

  • your too slow.go faster

  • you're going too fast... YOU'RE GOING TOO FAST!!!!

  • @mydesigirl84 Watch it again. And again.

  • argh slow downnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

  • I agree wayy too freaking fast just save it tho and continually review it

  • i now have letters A-L. it is a lot slower than this come check it out.

  • i have a video that is wayyyy slower and easier. it has the letters A-F and if it works for you guys just inbox me and i will put out more signs, numbers, and letters. i promise my video will have you learning in one day. :) please check out my video and i will make more to help you learn american sign language.

  • ya i tried doing at the same time but she is wayyyy to fast!!

  • The G is wrong.

  • @watching656 Yes the G is wrong its supposed to be on its side like H

    Sorry hard to explain.

I have two siblings who are both hard of hearing and go to a Deaf school so Im positive on G.

  • i learned this alphabet from friend at school. a lot easier if you know someone who knows it, that isn't deaf

  • i'm deaf,from argentina sign language argentina(spain) and english is different.i like apprentice:)thank you:)

  • I know how to fingerspelling alphabet because I'm deaf and I like this video.

  • Wow...that helped in absolutely no way....try slowing down! Way too fast! of what useis this to anyone?

  • in order to get a degree for sign language 1 step is doing it in 30 sec

  • kool! I'm so gonna challenge my friend to see who can do it fastest.

  • They are all right! But it just some may just look the same that all....

  • @lanagurl100 The camera angle is a bit strange so it's a little harder to see some of them well.

  • The palm orientation is just a variant -- usually G and H have the palm face towards you. But I've seen it like she signs (esp in words like Aug. when it's easier), and even with the palm facing away from you.

  • Is her H correct?

  • It's the correct handshape but her palm orientation is not what I was taught... not sure if it's incorrect though.

  • Yup her H Is correct.

  • what is the sign for holy shit slow down? lol

  • @nswe2002

    hahahhaha

    no kddding

  • @nswe2002 lol try doing this with both hands i wear i've never used these muscles in my life before lol

  • @nswe2002 #LOL

  • Is it just me, or is S slightly similar to A ??

  • the thumb is different

  • A and S are similar, but watch the thumb position.

  • haha i dont know this i just started learning but the thumb is A is out and on S the thumb is on the fingers

  • could u go any faster??? lol

    :D

  • COOL ABC

  • lol, what an Ironic audio fail.

  • lol

  • you can stop it, sheash :/

  • Good but too fast for beginners. Horatiospin has a slower presentation that is much easier to learn the alphabet with.

  • Too fast...Can't learn that way.

  • Arg, BSL is soo much easier, or at least in my opinion

  • The angle makes her H look like the shocker.

  • ASL > BSL!!

  • holy crap! the letters are quite similar, that makes it so much harder than bsl

  • hola!! yo soy elimerth tu como esta? yo deaf

  • I prefer british sign language... what does ASL stand for?? American Sign Language??

  • yes

  • wow she goes fast!!

  • i was taught the G different, more like H with one finger. and for Z i was taught to do it with my pinky. was i taught wrong?!

  • That's exactly how I learned it! It's kind of werid. I'm just gonna do it the way I learned it,maybe do the G and Z the correct way. I'm in habit of doing the Z with my pinkie still.

  • British SIgn Language is ways better.

  • SLOW DOWN... and needs some audio that maybe says the letters

  • why would you put audio in a language for the deaf lol. although i do agree...audio would be nice for those that can hear...

  • because the deaf people can already sign and to show you hearing people!!!

  • Ya don't have to be deaf to learn it...

  • I am putting this in my favorites for easy reference. ASL class is fun, but hard! X3
