  • GODD FRIEND NICE TUTORIAL

  • You're a good teacher. Thanks.

  • good

  • very good bro. many thanks. 5000******

  • good demostration. that is one nunchaku move i was having trouble on. thanks for breaking it down. can you use sai's?

  • the best tutorial

  • Thank you! I'll favorite it and try it out as soon as I get time to practice.

  • using the pictures as a slowmotion is a very good idea. thanks,I'm going to try it out;)

  • thanks for this :)

  • nice. Ive just recently learned this move.

  • hmm maybe it doesnt work cause my chains are too long:S

  • a way to test out your chain length is to rest the chain on your hand. if both poles touch your hand your nunchaku are fine if not the chain is too long.

  • exelente manera de explicarlo!

  • hey guys I'm new to nanchakus so just wondering if wrist spins are the same as cyclones or are they actually different?

  • GOOD JOB MAN

  • best tutorial I've seen on this. Can't wait to try it out.

  • lovely move :) nice tutorial, thx bro !

  • fantastic amazing way to teach things

  • In your video you have a long chain like the one you have on the floor showing how it is done i have been doing this for some thirty years and use a short chain. On the floor you wrap around your wrist the second time around and in the video you dont watch it carefully and you will see it because in the wrap around your hand with some speed the chucks will go the opposite direction!

  • Ok I'm a nunchuck noob, so do these dimensions sound right to anyone?

    stick length = 12 inches

    diameter = 1 inch

    chain length = 3.75 inches

  • Very Nice!!

As they say a picture is worth a 1000 words.

  • !!!Easy...

  • Question:

My nunchakus are made of steel, and are attached to each other by chain, so they're a bit heavier than most standard nunchaku. Can I still manage to pull this off? I'm asking because the wheight makes it harder to swing faster, alas, when I release it doesn't fly into my grasp. Instead it flies out of my reach. :P

I don't expect to learn this from the get go, but I just noticed that wristrolling with the chain might be a lot harder. Any tips? I'd really appreciate it.

    Great vid BTW

  • it depends on how long your chain is. It makes no difference if it is a chain or a rope, the action is the same. If your chucks are solid stell then they might be a little heavier, but some wooden chucks are very heavy, much heavier than hollow steel. Either way, its entirely possible with your chucks. The longer the chain, the harder it gets though. if you have light steel chucks with average chain it should be just fine.

  • very clever tutorial-thanks

  • I can do it now :D

  • Cool, the step by step picture method is a good idea and effective.

  • im gonna practice this move and see if i can do it for my tournemnt in a few weeks

  • u made it look so easy...very nice video

  • awesome this video is what got me to finally doing this

  • this is really good, but its harder to do with speed chucks

  • this is great but can it be done with chain chuck's with a little bit longer chain...hm?

  • same concept with a staff, it makes sense now

  • Awesome!

    That helped me a lot!

    Thanks dude! :D

  • thank you bro that was very good training and i will start training.

  • thanks man i'm gonna train every day so i can be very good at it so THANKS

  • God vid helped alot dude. cheers

  • good demo. i like how you used stop motion to show how to do the moves step by step.

  • what music is this?

    nice vid dude

  • Excellent video, I'm subscribing.

Make more like this one please.

  • you rock!

  • wow I have made one move of my own but these beat it.. but it depends on the length of the chain

  • this

  • your demo is exellent! the way u slowed it down is brillaint i got the first part from another vid but the second part is so fast i cant see whats going on, so yes gr8 job now i know :))

  • I notice that you did this with both a rope and a chain set, does one work better than the other? I also notice that you have a better lenght of chain or rope than some chucks have. Some come with as little as 4" of string in between. I only have ones with the short line at this time but I would bet that with a longer chain or rope it will slide around the wrist easier, is that true?

  • good job man. i just got my first pair a few days ago, and i have been checkin out these new moves

this vid really helped alot man thanks

  • thanks allot

  • very well made

  • good work.

  • haha i love this song

  • great one, ive been doing the spin, but the wrong way, its easier this way, ur gr8:)

  • excelente video increible manera y muy bien explicada sigue asi AWSOME...!!!

  • you couldn't have explained it better. It is damn hard to explain these things in words, you're right.

  • thanks heaps and ive heard that music from a quinteen tarintino movie but which one (possibly pulp fiction)

  • nice man

  • you are the man very good stuff

  • Nice..I think I got it..

  • VERY GOOD MAN!.

you are a smart master ;)

  • Thanks, I almost have it

  • no doubt the most helpful and clever way to explain move without audio... very good work!

  • Nice!! Very Nice!!! It really helps with the breakdown frame by frame. Kudos to ya.

  • Nice tutorial good idea showing the important frames, it finally made me understand the move^^

    Keep your good work mate!

  • Reaaly good man!! thank you very much!!! now... I´m goingo to practice!! :P hahah

  • Thank You!! Now I can try...

  • thank you so much, been tryin that spin but the way you took pics of each frame REALLY helps... I look forward to more vids from you fellow chucker

  • hahahah i loved the stuff you made on the floor, brilliant, keep it up mate!

  • i have foum chucks about 1 inch thickits realy hard

  • If only all videos explained the art like that thnx

  • good video i learned how to do it but how do i go back to the startin grip

  • Got the song, its surf rider by the lively ones

  • Excellent video again; cheers.

  • Thank you

  • i've been trying to figure that out forever thanks!

  • this move took me a long time to master, but now, i fink i am good at it, i can even do it ina figure of 8 which is harder

  • Seeing something in slow motion helps. Hopefully I can master this and incoperate it into my routine. Dankschen

  • Brilliant and creative way of displaing what is very diffciult to explain in words. Hats off to u mate

  • dude i fucking love you ive been trying to fugure out how thats done & i couldnt if you stop doing this stuff ill hunt you down & kick ur ass not really good job

  • This sure is a nice video, it explains a lot more than video's with words and fast nunchuk spinning =)

  • yeah nice man, thanks for making this vid :) i've just masterd the 1st step but the second is waaay hard :| but hopfully ill learn it soon :)

  • Well that would be of no use in real fight. Try hitting an object with the hand positioning as close as that to the chain. Hand or fingers would certainly get pressed between the sticks. ah these days, "martial artists" use nunchakus to entertain other primates.

  • who said it would be use in a real fight ?

  • this tutorial really helps XD

  • this movement is much harder with a chaku with small chain and/or cord inbetween . Nice though .

  • i know how to use a nunchaku and i know alot

but iwas taught how to do a wrist roll about

    4years ago.almost a master rank of nunchaku.

the one u did was also good.

  • very very useful! Just got my self some foam nunchucks and this explains this move really well, thanks!

  • this tutorial was really helpful for me . thank you mate!!!!!!!!

  • thanks for this mate i have been looking for how to do this in slowmo and now thanks to you i know. im off now to try this out thanks again

  • Maaan, second step is so freaking hard (maybe my chain is just a bit too long)

  • Yes that is good.

  • good work with the picture thing, i really understand the technique now !!! ;)

  • Everytime i try this technique, i end up grabbing onto the chain, could this be because my chain is too long? or is it just my technique?

  • mi hends are bleading

    Sorry for mi english

mi am Chinese and mi tried it

  • Thanks... alot for ur tutorial.. man.. nw i knw...hahaha

  • jejeje excelent, nice tutorial men.

  • VERY GOOD!!! THX MAN, I can start to train now

  • wow that was good thnx man. i am starting to get what looked like wuite the hard technique

  • i have battle nunchacks with 10cm chain (longer than yours) it is very hard and not beautifull to do this trick,

im searching for thislike trick but for battle ones..

  • dude i have just started using nunchucks so im pretty crap, but within 5 mins of watching this i can sort of do it already. thanx heaps this is such a good tut mate.

  • Cool, now can you show us how to crush someone's nuts with nunchaku?

  • this is definitely the best tutorial I have seen...I am a weapons instructor, and I know how hard it is to explain spins. Great idea, good job

  • surf rider its the name of the song just in case you are looking it, like I did for a few days.

  • Great video. Exactly what I needed!

  • great video i wanted so much to know how to do that

  • yaaay i get it now XD

  • i cant do it :(

  • thx for the cool video hope you'll do some more

  • I get it! It took three days and a hell of a lot of replays of this vid and bruising, but I can finally do it.

Thank you very much for making my day(s)!

  • thanx I have white foam ones im new!

  • Great clip. Lets see more of those with more moves. Thanks!

  • I plan to make an Aerial Tutorial during the next weeks.

By the way, thanks to all the kind words :)

  • excellent vid clip, very clear demonstration.

  • excellent..thanks for such a clear demo...

  • Is there any particular size or style of nunchaku that are good for beginners? I have these foam covered things with a chain. Should I be using something different or am I just being useless, lol!

  • This is a great video!

  • where can u get nunchuks in Western Australia? Lets ignore the law for a moment.

  • you can probably get foam-covered training nunchaku at a sports store somewhere, they will probably be legal (also good to practice with, if you hit your knuckles/face with a wooden pair it hurts like hell lol)

  • Just build them by yourself (mostly illegal, too)

Visit the link in the description for further details.

  • una parola: Grazie (Italy)

    one word: Thanks

  • nice...very clean moves

  • That is a very clever way of showing that technique. Nice One!!

  • very well put , thank u very much .. i rated it 5\5 u really earned it

but still, dont know how this move is helpful

  • They're used to connect different moves, just like a pass without handswitch. In order to use it efficiently you should also learn the Front-To-Front Wristspin - at least. Once you are comfortable with them it's getting really fun :)

  • so just 4 fun?

  • It is fun, yes - but the moves are very useful

  • useful in fighting?

  • yes, I think so.

  • it's little hard when you have chain

  • thank you so much.

  • nice

  • awesome tutorial you have good nunchuk skillz

  • great thanks

  • excellent. Thanks!

  • DUDE the Frame by frame is awsome, I respect the way u teach. I had to learn this move by my self by watching other Videos and i swear i woulda learnt the Move faster if i had your frame by frame back when i didnt know how to do it

  • i was wondering how the hell to do it but i got it with in 5 minunts thanks to u

    nice job on the vid

  • thanks dude ...you're the greatest!!

  • danke alter! hast echt ein talent fuers erklaeren. wunderbare idee.

  • nunchakus sind in Deutschland verboten / ?

  • When I saw the play-by-play frame thing, I literally said, "Dude, you rock." I just saw Domino (2005) Starring Keira Knightey (as ou can see by my name, I'm a *huge* fan) and I saw that scene in the alley when she did a wristflip really fast. My slow-motion on my TV was still to fast. You ROCK!!! Now, I have to practice....*spins nunchaku around and hits self in eye*

    X-D

    ROTFLOL!!!

  • Dude, thanks your video has helped me no end. Now all i need to do is put it into practice, thanks again and neat idea on how you showed the frames Clever shit! You are right though it's extremely hard, near on impossible to explain the moves. Peace, be good to see some more when you got time mate.

  • thank u 4 ur time man....peace..

  • hell yeah thats the bomb thanx

  • awesome, keep making these

  • awesome way to teach! i like the frame by frame then slow motion. i wish someone would make a balisong video like that though

  • I'd like to congratulate you on your very innovative way of showing frames as you did.

    very cool idea

  • thanks so much this helped a lot

  • Whats the song? I recognise it from pulp fiction? Oh great tutorial :D

  • Me too!

  • i've been struggling with this for ages. thanks for the vid, its a big help

  • great tutorial, but why is it that every nunchuck tutorial has crap music?
