To cakaekv: During movie recording, the optical zoom on the Canon SX120 IS is disabled and only the digital zoom can be used. That is why t was not tested. The mechanical movement noise of the optical zoom would otherwise get picked up by the cameras built-in microphone.

CHDK will resolve this issue. You can use optical zoom during recording video. Also, you can choose the option to rec sound or not during zoom operations.

@ThePruductions did you have it set to 480 quality jw cause i know i saw 360 and it sucked but 480 was really clear

@ThePruductions This is converted file. The original video is kind of small with it's 640x480 but there is hardly any noise without the zoom.

hi...does this mean that you're happy with your canon? i mean I am thinking of buying one but I can't seem to make up my mind between this one and the nikon L100....can you give me your opinion? btw does the canon work on rechargeable batteries? thx
