Right on Don. The generally accepted prohibition on inter-racial relationships stems from the Bible itself when in 1 Corinthians 7:13. I don't think it has anything to do with race at all. I believe that the Bible is a metaphoric and allegorical treatise on how to conduct ones self in commerce. I believe yoking has to do with contracts and bonding. I just want to thank you for posting this. I agree with everything you are saying. I'm a white woman and when growing up I never saw color. My family didn't agree with my dating black men but they got over it because they saw that it wasn't a phase. I find that I get looked at by black women as a threat because I find black men attractive and I never fully understood why. You definitely explained why and I appreciate it.

I believe their is more light skin people in the media but their is a lot of dark skin people too. I believe most people have more than two races and it is very normal. I also think that many (not all) african americans have adapted to a subculture produced by the media that some people don't like. Personally, I find african culture more interesting. I just want to thank you for posting this. I agree with everything you are saying. I'm a white woman and when growing up I never saw color. My family didn't agree with my dating black men but they got over it because they saw that it wasn't a phase. I find that I get looked at by black women as a threat because I find black men attractive and I never fully understood why. You definitely explained why and I appreciate it.

I believe their is more light skin people in the media but their is a lot of dark skin people too. I believe most people have more than two races and it is very normal. I also think that many (not all) african americans have adapted to a subculture produced by the media that some people don't like. Personally, I find african culture more interesting. But everyone should throw away what the media sends to people such as stereotypes and get to know people on a personal level.

I can confirm the difference only with my eyes. None of my other senses can confirm a difference.

There is nothing wrong with interacial relationships if the union is based on genuine love and respect and not because one of the partners feels racially inferior to the other and this is why they are in the relationship in at attmpt to "improve" themselves. Any race dominated or degraded by another will have a culture of trying to be like that race and having relationships is just one aspect. In terms of black and white interacial relationships, the numbers are higher than other races....

I understand sexual jealousy, but I don't understand why the race of the man she goes off with makes a difference. Would you feel better if she went off with a white guy, or a Japanese guy? It doesn't make sense feeling gutted becasue he was black. Was your girl white or black? (I'm assuming white becasue of your reaction) but If she was black would you be less bothered or more. Or would you even date a black woman, probably not if race is an issue. Race, the issue that never ends..hmmm.

Truly. Love must come first becasue this is what we are and this is what we need to pass on to our children. Imagine the people who felt genuine love for a person who was not of their race but decided not to get together because of social, family and peer pressure. They may maintain the support of these groups but then lose the chance or at least a chance of real love, which doesn't come around too often in most experiences.
