left side of the blouse looks longer than the right. Don't get me wrong it is very nice but it looks really lopsided. Hemming the bottom on any fabric makes the garment look nicer in my opinion.

I just started watching your videos, and I think they're great. But when you said tube top with "fringe" I was expecting stringy layers as in Western or Native-American style fringe usually made out of leather or suede. The top you've made is actually beautiful layers of RUFFLES. I think viewers should also know that the one you were wearing is called a halter top, w/ layered ruffles. .

I generally purchase all my fabric in Los Angeles Garment District. The vendors are so flexible. Sometimes, I get fabric for .50cent per yard. lol

Hello,

Since the width of the fabric is determine by measuring it around your body, you can follow the same steps in the video. Just remember fabric comes in a variety of widths. Look for a fabric that is at least "60'.

You can attach a strapless bra to the inside of the shirt if you do the tube top, or you can make your straps wider in version 2 so that you can wear a bra.

I used pillowcases to make this top while I watched. I used one case for the tube top part and the second case for the ruffles. I wish you had a DVD out with some of the basic patterns you've shown on YouTube!

You could put the elastic first. However, I decided to do it this way because if you sew the fringes in place first, the band you created for the elastic casing will cover the seam of the first fringe. This gives the shirt a nice finish and you don't see any seams.

I created the banner in photoshop. Then I saved it as a picture to my desktop. I edit all my videos in IMovie ( I use a Mac computer), and I just make sure I put the photo before the video footage.
