This is truly an enchanting scene. Perfection. And wonderful to read - below - that so many of you out there love it as much as I do. Meanwhile, I just read on another channel that the director said he based it on something he actually a saw in Paris - a girl like Amelie helping a blind man in the same way. So often we see something like this and we say to ourselves: beautiful..., - if only such things happened in really life. Well, they do.

This is probably one of the best scenes I have ever seen in a movie. Shows human compassion, joy and goodness at its purest best. This scene gets tears in my eyes almost every time.. Amelie ranks as one of the all time great movies. If a few more people in the world could be like Amelie, then the world would be such a beautiful place to live in..
