  • This scene is one of those moments where the world just seems flawless, beautiful and amazing <3

  • don't you just love her ?

  • It's Lamarck Caulaincourt! That's one epic metro station. (Sorry for the irrelevance)

  • screw my manhood

    this is the best ever

  • awww the best bit where the last few seconds cut out from this video, where the blind man looks "enlightened" :3

  • I LOVE this scene But you cut out the ending when the light shines up from him :-|

  • I cant see a single flaw in this movie. I'm always covered in goosebmps when I watch this scene.

  • That would be hilarious if the blind man is like "Gee, Thanks, but... that not where i wanted to go....And why do I care about that baby looking at a dog looking at chickens?"

  • After watching this film in Film Studies last year, I wanted to start being a better person and help mankind like Amelie! <3

  • This is truly an enchanting scene. Perfection. And wonderful to read - below - that so many of you out there love it as much as I do. Meanwhile, I just read on another channel that the director said he based it on something he actually a saw in Paris - a girl like Amelie helping a blind man in the same way. So often we see something like this and we say to ourselves: beautiful..., - if only such things happened in really life. Well, they do.

  • I love it how the rising intensity of the music matches the scene and her increasingly rapid talking almost exactly, or was the scene matched to the music?

  • @Sihrtogg as far as i'm aware yann tiersen developed the musical score in tandem with the production of the film so yeah i think so - it matches perfectly either way

  • My favourite scene as well. In fact I searched the exact scene and I found it :) Bravo!

  • wow, its amazing genoius :) crying whe watching this scene more times

  • Life is incredible.

But we will not make it better by sitting in front of a computer. We type on keys to convey sayings we intend to be wise or kind but they mean nothing. Only when we chose to make real connections with people, like the one in this clip, can we make the world a better place.

We usually chose the alternative though because we are lazy.

  • this is one of the best scenes in cinematic history according to me, just shows the sheer power of cinematic genius!

  • @GARRYKINGLIVE

EVERYTHING about this scene is perfect. Everything.

  • I adore this film, it's a complete triumph and I am honoured to watch such beauty :)

  • This makes me feel so small, and so sad, and so sensible about other people in the world, this makes me feel helping lonely persons, sick, sad, and this really makes me feel I just wanna cry

  • Merci, Audrey.

  • omg, verklempt for the millionth time! love it to bits

  • This scene gets me choked up every time! And then I want some sugarplum ice cream!

  • Man I was so close to tears first time i saw this! x

  • because it's supposed to give the watcher of the movie the feeling that it's going all very fast and "new" for this blind man.

  • I lose some tears when I see this scene as I have a blind boy myself. I really hope to see everyone treating him as humanly and pleasantly as Amelie.

  • there should be more people like her in the world!

  • yep.

    beautiful

  • HAHAHAHA!

I loved the way at 0:29 Amelie just stares down the old man. It's like he's the unfortunate victim of her do-goodedness.

  • ....what if he wanted to go the other way? lol

  • I'm only kidding, I love this scene so much. Then again I love this movie so much.

  • I thought this too:

"Damn i wanted a melon slice!"

  • This is basically the best scene ever. The colours are absolutely astounding.

  • same exact subtitiles in my copy of the film :D

    I LOVE THIS SCENE!!!!!!!!

  • i adore this scene, and this movie.

although, im sureeee ive seen versions (like the one on film 4 tonight), where when the subtitles say that amelie has said, 'thats the florest laughing. he looks cheeky.'

is it just me thats noticed that? or am i completelyyyy imagining it.

  • This is one of the most beautiful scenes ever. Everything is perfect, the music, the filming, the expressions on their faces, the speed, the rythm...

It's amazing how it just takes you away, in less than a minute.

  • My favorite scene ever! I always cry so much during this scene, every time

  • Keanesky - me too! and I also love the final scene :-)

  • who doesn´t cry?

    The whole film is perfect.

  • So, silbone.......what?

  • this scene always makes me cry and then makes me very happy too! One of the best scenes in the movie.

  • This escene shows the real and one of basiclis funtion ot art, to show though our vision the world as we see it and close to what it is to somebody and make him happy in the best of the cases

  • This is probably one of the best scenes I have ever seen in a movie. Shows human compassion, joy and goodness at its purest best. This scene gets tears in my eyes almost every time.. Amelie ranks as one of the all time great movies. If a few more people in the world could be like Amelie, then the world would be such a beautiful place to live in..

  • This scene was the only thing to get me even close to crying in the last 4 years...what a beautiful scene.

I need to buy this movie as soon as possible and watch it again and again.

  • This is one of the best scenes ever made in a movie

  • This scene is so impressive, I always watch it in awe, what a great thing to do and what great actors, Audrey proves that troughout the entire movie and this old man...his expression is amazing, especially in the end.

Beautiful beautiful beautiful...and so is the music!!!

  • I became a stalker in a way...I advise everyone I discuss movies with to watch Amelie.

  • lmao hahah you did something right!! lol that's what i do also xD

  • Can you believe that this is true??! Jean-Pierre Jeunet saw a girl in Paris helping a blind man like Amélie did.

  • i really like this scene. thanks for posting it

  • oh my god this scene gets me EVERY SINGLE TIME! The movie is truly a legend... well your video just made my day by reminding me how incredible life can be lol =D

  • funny, that's just how i feel about this movie

  • @epaeee I cry my eyes out most of the times i see this...

  • ....amelie....es la puerta, el pasaporte

al amor, a la ilusion, a una vida al lado

    de esta estufita en invierno

    y ventilador en el verano

    llamado Dios!

    Soy feliz!!!...Creo en Dios...

    Se...sean!!!!...Los ama...

  • this movie is just perfect!!! i love every single scene of it!

  • ditto

  • dont you mean, le ditto.

  • the song is La Noyee by Yann Tiersan

  • la escena mas maravillosa que he vistooooooo

    *-*

  • little pleasures

  • Thank you so much, my favorite scene :)

  • what is the name of the song???

  • La Noyée - Yann Tiersen

  • Voici la vignette que je prefere dans Amelie....c'est tres fine!

  • This film is a tribute to all people of an artistic sensibility in the world

  • So true! It's sad that some people just don't "get it"! This is one of my favorite movies of all time.

  • tis also my favorite scene... amelie is one of the best films ever made... and vincent is always oh so lovely to look at.
