Because this MEAMO operating system is N900 exclusive! duh! And now a discontinued failed project.

If Motorola runs its own OS on high end smartone instead of Android, hell yes, they NEEDS all the apps in the world.

@garytcw that the N900 is discontinued is new to me. Any source? did you hear about meego harmattan (which is maemo 6) for the N900? I suppose not. Of course they need apps, but they don't have to develop them. You're mixing developers and hardware vendors.
