Not that I have real credentials as a coach (My partner and I croon semi-professionally; mainly at homes and social clubs for the elderly), but I would recommend standing when you record yourself. Helps you breath better and project more volume when you need to.

@larrydonguy We do a lot of "Great American songbook" material. My partner (EXCELLENT voice in his mid 70's) does mainly Sinatra and Dean Martin arrangements. I do their stuff too, but also more of the others of that generation: Perry Como, Frankie Laine, Nat King Cole; also some Crosby, Vaughn Monroe, Mills Brothers, Tony Bennett.
