Me: But Dad, 3 three people don't like Warrant!

Dad: Wait, let me get the shotgun!

  • @MultiRushfan Take your dicknose singer and suck it!

  • @Skleech22 That fag doesnt represent rush fans....some of us like both and are open minded

  • @Skleech22 hey dude... geddy lee didn't insult Rush. That dickhead did. Get fucked.

  • @Skleech22 dont worry...its called karma and its a bitch. and this person will get it all back one day. warrant was great. jani was great. great people fall down too and dont make it. he was a father a son a newphew an uncle and a friend to someone. warrant is not the same w/o him but i can promise their songs wont as good now either, even tho they have a good front singer. jani made warrant THE warrant we knew

  • @MultiRushfan Fuck off, youre an embarrassment to Rush fans.

  • @MultiRushfan you seem to forget jani was someones SON. and FATHER and FRIEND. its bad to talk ill about the dead.

  • Jani ;**

  • and the record company demanded that dumbass cherry pie song. Jani hated that...........what a song writer.....Blind Faith was a badass song and dogEatDog was great CD.

  • I am so glad I lived it!!...and I live in Cleveland about 40 miles from where he is from. The Akron Agora was the Shit!! That is where he is from, and where he got discovered. RIP Jani....we love you.

  • @thestrawhead No he didn't...He got discoverd at Filthy's. Try asking a "family" member!

  • He made my eyes rain tonight.

  • @Jemdave13 I'll never surrender my love to this music. Thanks for replying and posting your comments.

  • This is real hardcore in your face drug induced fuckin music that goes here. Not that pussy assed Justin Brieber shit.... Kids today are paralyzed by the music and its pussy assed chicken shit message. Yeah they may have died of drug overdoses back in the day but at least they can say they're music stood for something besides counting fireflys...

  • back in the late 80s early 90s jani sounded great in concerts but not sure what happened to him because the last few times i saw them he sounded terrible but still liked it.

  • still having hard times to believe he's gone...what a loss.....so down to earth guy....reminds me Duff Mc Kagan-very humble both...

  • So many of Jani's songs centered around rain if you listen. hmmm, pretty cool. Man, I will miss him so much.

  • one of the 2 most talented and underated rock bands of all time the other is Mr. Big

  • @arsompa The only (real) difference is Mr. Big all had talent. Warrant had Jani Lane (Steven Sweet on drums was good too) but Beau Hill produced Warrant awesome and had the incredible Reb Beach (Winger, Dixie Dregs) play all the guitars cause Joey & Co. couldn't pull off how cool Jani wrote!

  • @AlanJK47 oh i never knoew that, but i still think that overall warrant is way way too underrecognised especially the Dog eat dog album, but u are rite though about MR. Big all the 4 of MR. Big members are real talented musicially.....

  • @AlanJK47 Yup as well other 80's bands who had Steve Lukather and other LA session guys doing duties for the bands who then learned the songs later.

  • Keep rockin' on the other side Jani. RIP

  • So sad. Love you Jani.

  • JANI YOU ROCK ! THANKS MAN ...............

  • R.I.P jani

  • Probably my favorite Warrant song. How the hell somebody comes up with a song that's this vocally complex AND pulls it off live is beyond me.

  • a great singer .. RIP Jani

  • RIP JL, saw this tour in 1991. Now this videos gives me great memories. What a night I rememebr it.

  • Favorite metal song of all-time

  • When they were sumthin'...no one saw the grunge storm comin' a mile away?

  • Awesome !

  • my ringtone Mr.Rainmaker...one of my fav Warrant song....such a waste of talent that J.L. can't get rid of his demons...

  • please, warrants "dog eat dog", was one of the best albums, wake up matey

  • NOBODY puts on a Warrant show like Jani. Don't care about his few drunk shows, he IS a rockstar after all and yes sometimes they get drunk! Give the guy a break & remember the artist!

    Love u Jani

  • damn, japanese always got the best gigs

  • Seen these guys twice in concert and this was in '08. I think i was the youngest person there! hahaha I FREAKIN LOVE WARRANT!!!!!!! and Jani was nice too

  • Man, what I wouldn't give to travel back to this decade.

  • @Lookin2Cool

    Amen to that...

  • @Lookin2Cool Totally agree!

  • an alltime classic , this n all my bridges are burning classic

  • What a great fucking song

  • You came along

With a patch of blue sky

    Inside your arms

I found a place that's warm and dry

    I can't stop listening this song :)

  • the guitar solo reminds me livin on a prayer

  • I saw them live in 1991 also. It was heavy shit beyond belief ! Awsome.

  • What happened to Jani? I love this song, and both music & lyrics are great!

  • Hard Rock / Real music at its prime !!

It´s a shame Jani is not with the boys anymore

  • He's at the top of his game here! too bad he couldn't stop drinking and got kicked out of the band. Hope he gets his Sh@! together.

  • dude got a set of pipes

  • Absolutely love this band!! Jani was one of the greatest songwriters of that era. Not many come close.

  • @gamer4299 agree 100%

  • That's Great

  • nice vocal range

  • Comment removed

  • I didn't know Brendan Fraser was singing...

  • @HarounT13 haaaH!!!

  • I agree, Jani is as good as it gets when it comes to that style of writing. I just wish they should of maybe changed there look like Jovi did and keep up the great writing and amazing vocals like this track. He clearly blows Jovi away as a singer and his writing is so accessable. I would love to write a cool song with him.

  • I got drunk in the supercollider waxachie tx to this

  • The last band to emerge from LA scene. After them, it was over. And time for Seattle !

  • get sober jai n comeback warrant, u rock dude

  • This is too good for words! Always loved this song. Warrant was at the top of their game here. Jani's voice is superb.

  • jani lane is one of the best singer/songwriters of all time. if you have never given them a chance listen to them and the lyrics jani has written. i know it is 20 years old, but people listen to music alot older than that. dont let the whole "hair band" thing influence you and leave you out of listening to some amazing music. rock on jani!!!!

  • jani lane is propably one of the most talented vocalists of the 80's.

  • I think we could do without all the Cherry Pie paraphernalia.

  • at 0:26... i love how he throws the mike :D but have anyone notice... what is that at 0:52 ?? why did Jani "push" the guitarist to the front? it's a little bit weird i think :/

  • Jani ruuuulez, he has the voice,he had the looks!!!Wish I was there those days to see them live. Gee,they were so hot!!!

  • Were they the headliner here?

  • if someone could capture that high in a bottle it would sell for millions

  • Great voice!!! some rock singers are in trouble with the live performances....here we have a great performance with the same vocal power you have on the record!!!

  • bassmonkey1962 : Right on .When you wanna kill something ,just put a shitty tag on it and start talking crap in a one way manner (remember they lost their major contracts and wide exposure capabilities soon after this).Hair metal:you must have shit in your head to even make use of the term...

  • I would have to agree with (bassmonkey1962). Most music these days have nothing compared to 80's Metal. I bet there is alot of people around the world who would agree, many bands these days dont stick around unlike, Warrant,Ratt,Motley crew,Winger, Whitesnake, kiss,Iron Maiden,Judas Priest,Megadeth and more but there is still plenty of bands from that era that are still making records. Cant say that much about today's so called metal.

  • i don't think hair metal is deragatory

  • does he say semen at 3:36 hahahaha

  • @CHUCKAFAG haha he does!

  • Can't say it was a very good performance. Interesting how Jani drags the guitarsit at 0.53 and points like he's saying "get back out there and play"...Cherry Pie wasn't a bad album but when they released Dog Eat Dog, it was a complete change in direction, image and music and fans weren't prepared for that...shame really.

  • @5150VanAlien man, it was a vety good performance. and oh, dog eat dog wasn't a shame, is a good album with great songs, but i didnt like the chage in their image.

  • @TM94BrazilP2 Don't agree, the song is played is played in a much slower tempo than the album and for a ballsy track, you need pace for this song. It was as if Warrant played with fatigue, which you can't afford to do to your fans.

Dog Eat Dog, was done for the wrong reasons!!! Warrant isolated so many fans that up to that point were loyal by creating a darker, heavier album and with so many glam metal bands to choose from then, is it any wonder, fans departed them.

  • @5150VanAlien look, you cant say this concert isnt good just because this song.

  • @TM94BrazilP2 If the performance of this track is a reflection of the concert in general, then yes I will. I saw Warrant live in Australia around 89/90 and all Jani Lane did was talk during the concert about how many women he could bed.

People don't pay for that, they pay good money for a good performance an hear tracks live as close to the authenticity of the album. I stand by what I say and this song was poor an no doubt so was the concert.

  • .51-.54 --- Looks like his guitarist was back there slacking, so Jani gave him a little push back to the corner of the stage. WTF lol

  • USA ALL THE WAY

  • jani sounds so great here

  • Back when Hard rock and heavy metal actually had songs instead of just blastbeats and shouting

  • I'm going to have to call you out for a moment here. I love this song, I love Warrant, Winger, Whitesnake, hair metal, etc. etc.

I am also a huge fan of the extreme talent of modern Death Metal such as Nile, Vital Remains, Dying Fetus, and the list goes on. The surgical precision required to play the blast beats you mentioned is a benefit and feature of modern Metal, not a drawback. Warrant's drummer probably couldn't even come close to playing the songs on the newest Nile CD.

  • How is increasing talent and musical mastery bad for metal? Heck, you have bands like Marcello Vestry and Danger Danger STILL PLAYING THIS EXACT TYPE OF MUSIC!!!! Edguy is another great band that has all the awesome elements of Hair Metal. While bands like SHITKNOT are fake, non metal imposters, true Death Metal bands are increasing the talent level and mastery of the genre of Heavy Metal. I believe your disdain is misdirected. How about calling out new Metallica for sucking instead?

  • @brattalynch1 not all of it is like that, theres some bands out there doing the traditional stuff

  • complete concert in my blog , it´s online!, click in my login callenostalgia

  • This is live heavy metal....

  • Memories!!! Awesome pure simple heavy metal!!

  • @Ryanmetalmatthew back then if you looked good had long hair and played hard rock they considered it glam. though they werent as glam as some others were. the y could depend on good songs to get by not just how much make up they could wear.

  • these guys are underrated they should have been as big as poison dude!

  • They have way more talent than Poison!

  • Poison was and IS a fucking joke! The only credible album Poison has under their belt is Flesh and Blood. I must admit, there are songs on that album that are pretty impressive (strange days of uncle jack, etc.) Warrant had WAYYYY more talent than Poison. I agree.

  • @Rockdude1981 agree way more talent and better songs...I have this song and Machine gun as one of my ringtones...and watching this vid really makes me sad...RIP great artist...

  • actually..the album was supposed to be "Uncle Tom's Cabin"

  • cant get enough of these guys. so good live. Jani Lane is a legend

  • is it me or do the into's to this and danger danger's "dont blame it on love" sound almost identical? haha

  • @gilgel55 exact which came 1st

  • Sounds good here, really. He, as with a lot of high-output singers of this genre, usually fall flat live.

  • i just got in to this shit when i was ten and i wish i could go back in time to buy some of these ablums

  • you can find them now

  • Saw Warrant Friday night, at the Galaxy, in Santa Ana, California. Kicked ass. It's a shame these bands get referred to as "hair metal," because that is such a derogatory term. This music is far superior than anything being crapped out nowadays.

  • agree. for me this is hard rock at its best. hair metal is poison, tigertailz...

  • warrant is hair metal 2 for sure, so is motley crue and van halen. Being defined as a Hair Metal band is not something bad, i luv them all, long live the fkin 80's !

  • they were referred as "hair metal" only for the song cherry pie, nobody did take the time to listen to the other songs and realize they were great. Actually Jany lane said in an interview that cherry pie was a demand from the records company and even the album name was changed from Mr. rainmaker to cherry pie

  • I know I wish I was there. most of todays bands and artists suck. I'd rather listen to a howler monkey air siren band over Good Charlotte Maroon 5 & Lil Wayne any day. Warrant would crap on these guys while those guys just crap out.

I mean most artists today don't get the spiritual side and skill side to put out anything good saying crank dat souljia boy or your a jerk 15 times doesn't count as a well written song I think song writers today suffer from OCD and HUB syndrome

  • @bassmonkey1962 i dont think hair metal is used as a derogatry term, infact, i use the term with pride. who cares if the bands i like dress better than any one else, who cares if my favourite bands have looks to die for and great music to boot?

  • @bassmonkey1962 my dads band opened at that show :D THE CAUZE. i love warrants new singer

  • oh i luv the accent hahahah hes was sooo sexy

  • AMAZING AND THIS IS A DVD?!

    cool

  • i love this RRRRrrr stuff in warrant

  • 32 pennies in a RRRRRRagu jar

  • I saw Warrant and Dokken open for Alice Cooper on my 13th birthday and I hated them both...

...I must have been a real asshole at 13.

  • Hehe yeah you really must have been =)...all 3 bands really ROCKS HELL!!! \m/

  • shizz! this song is sooooo good! never get sick of it at all!! warrant=legendary!

  • Ya know in 90's everything that had a great guitar solo and a quality voice and melody was called "glam", fucking alternative lovers

  • I just ordered this DVD and I cant wait to get it

  • whats the name of the DVD?

  • Warrant Cherry Live In Japan Cherry Pie Tour 91

  • i fucking love this song! :)

  • best song of warrant

  • This performance is completly correct under the musical terms. Truly, it's better than several perfomances that I've seen from more famous and popular bands such as Skid Row.

About Danger Danger, you should really play atention in the higher notes at live performances, mainly in songs like "Dont put the blame on love". You'll see that nobody's perfect.

  • this song fuckin OWNS!!!

  • is that solo guitarist erik turner or is it joey allen ?

  • they're both lead guitarist just like robbin crosby and warren demartini in ratt

  • well in this song, allen plays the solo...its like in the most of the warrant songs...turner once said in an interview that hes more the rhythm-guitarist while joey allen plays more lead stuff...

  • Are you def?

    This was flawless!!!

If you listen some bands from that time, like Guns and Roses, Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, etc, you'll notice that those bands really suck in live performances (but i love them anyway).

Jani Lane is (or was) a great singer and the band is solid.

  • Clearly you don't know good music. For all i care you can suck Rick Astley's nuts.

  • lani didn't hit even one wrong note... and that shit is hard to sing !

  • delarge was dropped his head when he was a baby. his perception on the world is a little off. lmao

  • Umm, delarge, what are you talking about? I'm not a big Warrant fan but this is clearly a super-tight performance. Better than the studio version. And this song is a bitch to sing live, believe me - Jani sounds good here.

  • Truly amazing!

I wish Jani could sing right now as those old days....

  • Dang, Jani is actually a really good singer live. Sounds just like the album.

  • best song on cherry pie

  • 5+ great song.

  • @Baldmelon what you on about???? hair metal is awesome!!!!!
