It's easy. He flipped over the bottom card and held the deck upside down to make it look like it was right side up. Then put the card in and flipped the deck back over. I've seen people do that.

Wow practice man. After doin magic for 4 years i've seen people do so much better for your age. And thats a real trick, but yours is wayyy to complicated.Why gaff a card? no nead. thats why there is a one card half pass or a braue reversal. Just get it to the top and do one of those and you got the same trick easier. Practice your handling more to.
