The sad/scarey thing is, as with all ignorant, intolerant religious fanatics, she probably sees herself as some kind of modern crusader, fighting God's "Holy War" against the "evil anti-Christ homosexuals" and is most likely quite gratified by the flood of the negative responses.It's amazing how these kinds of intolerant bigots love all forms of opposition and criticism - to them it's "persecution" and they can see themselves as martyrs. A pity, I loved her as an athlete.

I loved Margaret court as a player years ago & always wanted her to win-but hearing her homophobic views has really saddened me & made me realize that one of my idols is not the decent lady I thought she was

Love me some Margaret Court! Her views may not be popular, but heck if she were a Hollywood communist she would be more beloved by many leftists out there!

It is a pity that a player who acheived such comprehensive excellence in tennis, has upset people by commenting on what people do in their private lives. Of course Margaret is entitiled to her views, but it would be best if she did not express these publically. What people do privately is nobody's business but their own.

She is a great player.. but not so great a humanitarian... I have lost much respect for her over the years ... with her comments and most recently campaining against equall rights for gays in Australian...thank goodness is from there... u would think that she would be more articulate and not such an idiot, that stuff about Jelena Dockic and her idiotic father.. as if it were a disease that u could catch or there was a memebership drive on tour. Shame on you Margaret Court !!!!

I do because she emailed but when I asked her to discuss about her former opponent Darlene Hard. The emails stopped coming.
