We don't have to do ALL the devotions that are available. We just do what we like and what we can do. You can have only 1 or 2 devotions for every day and you can add a few others on different days whenever you feel the need. The Rosary is one of the most important devotions to have as it is the meditation of the life of Jesus Christ. When we pray the Rosary, we pray the Gospel. :)
I guess you don't understand my comment. We pray to Jesus "in the flesh" because Jesus promised to be with us. He is here in the Eucharist in every Catholic Church in the world.
Jesus is NOT spirit! He is up in heaven, BODY, BLOOD, SOUL & DIVINITY. But you have to know that He is also here with us just as He promised in the Eucharist.
As far as the spirit, we have the HOLY SPIRIT who proceeds from the Father & the Son.

In the bible Jesus appeared to His disciples. They didn't recognize Him until the breaking of the bread. Right after the breaking of the bread (< Jesus), He disappeared out of their sight the way a man is seen but stayed in their sight as bread. He will not be here in 2 forms at the same time.

There are all these misunderstandings that people have about the second coming of Jesus and lies about the "Rapture" that does not exist. We have to be very specific about that. More than likely, I will die before the Second Coming of Jesus. But that does not matter. My body will still be united with my soul wherever I am and I will be able to see Jesus at His second coming.

We are saying he same thing but in different words. I ment to say exactly that ....that when a person dies he does see Jesus. Ultimately.. the result is the same....seeing Jesus. All the souls who are already with him, they get to witness what is happening on earth as well. Great video

@rafaellea, we are not saying the same thing. The Second Coming is different than when we see Jesus when we die. We have to be very clear on that. There are all these misunderstandings that people have about the second coming of Jesus and lies about the "Rapture" that does not exist. We have to be very specific about that. So all in all we are NOT talking about the same thing.
The SECOND COMING is different than when we see Jesus at the time of our death. Let's make that very clear. :)

CBallen, many people misunderstand when Catholics pray in front of a Holy image. We are NOT worshiping the picture or the statue. We are worshiping God! It just so happens that sometimes when we pray we are kneeling in front of a holy image, picture or statue. That does not mean we think the statue is a "false god." How stupid do you think we are?

The second commandment makes it clear that we are not to make any graven images of anything on the earth or in heaven and forbids us to bow down to them.The Catholic Church removed that commandment and split the 9th so they would still have 10.

If the devil were behind a Crucifix then he would have no problem worshipping that piece of wood. But he knows what the Crucifix means to us as Catholics.
An exorcist once held a Crucifix up to the devil who was possessing someone and the Priest exorcist asked the devil while holding up the Cruciix, "bow down and Worship God" (paraphrase) and the devil said, "never." So explain that to me. If the devil thought the Crucifix meant nothing, he would have no problem with it.

It seems to be the closest to the one on the shroud. We do not know how Jesus really looks. But many artists depicted Him according to the shroud. We have many different images so that we can better contemplate the face of Jesus. We have images to remind us of the holy things of God, including Jesus Christ who is God's image. Images are also a reminder of the Saints who have been perfected by God's grace.

I realize that those pictures are just pictures. They are not really Jesus. They are paintings & images that we have so that we can comtemplate on them as we pray to the real Jesus in Heaven.
Jesus is an image Himself. He is an image of God who is invisible.
Jesus is also here in all the Tabernacles of all the Catholic Churches in the world. It is really Him present in substance. He promised He would be here with us & so He kept His promise. He commanded us to eat & drink His flesh & blood.

I must say this is my favorite video! So Anointed by God! Isaiah 52:14 But many were amazed when they saw Him. His Face was so disfigured He seemed hardly human and from His Appearance, one would scarcely know He was a Man. Our trials have no comparison to what Jesus Suffered. Please pray the Saint Gertrude prayer for her. I have the video on my channel, it's called "The Holy Souls - Church Suffering."
Pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for her. There are many videos here on YouTube that have that prayer. When you pray that prayer for a dying person Jesus comes to that person as a merciful saviour first. I know she has already passed but God is outside of time and He will apply it to your dying mother because you were not able to be there for her when she passed.

Are you Christian? If you are then you are called to Holiness by God. We are all "holy" because we have been "set apart" from the rest of the world. We have been set apart by God to be with Him in Heaven.
We have to accept God's grace and allow Him to make us Holy so that we can be with Him in Heaven.
If you say Mary is not holy then she could not have beared Jesus Christ.

I agree, I call them "garage-sale ministries" since seems like anyone with a garage just cleans it up and start a $ begging "ministry" where Jesus is conveniently "advertized and sold" (the "advantage" of Jesus not having a copyright). They also start to "twist and shout" (like the Beatles' song) and they pretend they have a "close personal" relationship with Jesus, like if they were alone in the world and they were "chosen".
