my choir sung that for the christmas concert for mississippi state and wwere singing it for fall festival and spring festival ;\ ill prob upload me singing it o.o cuz my teach made the choir sing it in 3 parts 1st soprano 2nd soprano and altos
i think all of you would produce a better sound if you sing in a british accent.. honestly it helps and our teacher makes us do it... though it is very annoying. good job though.
i know another version no offense but i like my version better its ok but it sounded like you can do better keep practicing and i know youll get to it! trust me im an alto and i suck at this song! but then my chorus teacher said i should practice more and i did. Guess what, she ended up loving it! so practice! bye!!!!
I love how your video is making a lot of smart-asses and would-be-experts comment with theories on what kind of voice you have. Allow me to tell you that you are not necessarily an alto just because SOME people can't tell the difference between assessing a trained and an untrained voice.
Your singing is not bad for your age - at least you seem to have a correct idea of the notes and a willingness to present yourself.
Have you considered taking singing lessons? They might give you more security.
I actually learned this in vocal music at school. my music teacher did tell me I was an alto. I know my high notes aren't the best. Thanks for sticking up for me though.
In my experience, people often use the expression "being an alto" for people whose singing technique doesn't allow them to pass the brink between the head-voice and the deeper levels. Music teachers work with amateur singers by definition and are used to dividing their people into "can sing high notes" (sopranoes) and "can sing a line that's not the melody of the piece (altoes). This classification says nothing about your actual voice.
actually your are singing it correct. youbelate deo.
you sound good; but a bit nasally. im guessing your an alto. the best way to sing this with tall vowels and good breath support. sit up and take deep breaths. good job !
sing more clear i have to sing this for chior and it's hard but don't do soprano do the alto parts because the other parts are 2 high for you. you are like screeching. sorry but it's not the best.
This is the alto part. if you think this is high, you should hear the soprano part. this is also the harmony. it sounds better when all the altos, sopranos, and guys are singing along. Our guys haven't been split up into tenor and bass yet.
sing with your diagphram and sit up straight. open up your mouth, use taller vowels and don't be afraid to sing it. the softer you sing it the less accurate it sounds. don't breathe with your shoulders breathe with your stomach.
so what? are you saying I should say it with a "j" sound? It's latin, moron. It means "sing jubilantly". maybe you need a catscan, cause your brain doesn't seem to function properly.
nice :) my choir is singing the really really really high version and it goes like this:
jubilate deo
jubilateee deooooo
allelugjah :)

open your mouth more, let more air through.
you have good pitch, and a relatively good sound.
taller vowels and lift your soft palette
Tommiewashere 4 years ago
different kind then i sing.
rjkwerty 4 years ago
this is good
but your vowels are a tad too bright
try breathing through your nose before you start so you can raise your soft pallet more
and make sure to open your mouth more
it gives you a more mature tone
other than that good job hun you're doin great! =]
