  • Thanks..sandrawally for your reply...It makes you kind of wonder..how diffrent countries in the world hate each other and at times..have fought against each other in either war or some sort of conflict..BUT..when these people from the same countries live in the U.S.. they can be neighbors a live peacefully with each other? What other country can you go and these things occur? Well, there is Australia and England..other European countries...but the U.S. is where everyone goes...God Bless America.

  • THIS IS AMERICA>>>LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT!!!!!!

  • @SGhockeychika4: To claim that the majority of the poor are lazy is untrue /and/ bigoted....it 's a denial that this nation was primarily built on the backs of the poor. The majority of the poor do work...they are slaves of the wealthy...but they sure /do/ work harder than the middle class...and get paid less, though deserve more. The working poor go w/o middle class amenities such as a decent house, travel, good health care, etc. Talk about monstrous inequity! F u c k the middle class.

  • @SGhockeychika4 brayed: "Socialism is only good when you have everyone putting into it".

Then the answer is of course, to quit making exceptions for the rich to not pay their fair share. Until Amerika does this, the rich will remain outside of our democratic ways, running our country like it's their own fiefdom. Your rationale simply buys the old Horatio Alger myth that anyone who's rich has earned it. Hogwash. That is nothing more than corporate welfare.

  • @SGhockeychika4 blabbered: "National Health Care is a form of Universal Health Care."

Whatever you call it, we don't have it in Amerika...and we need it if we ever hope to fulfill the promise of democracy. You can't pursue your happiness w/o decent health care, housing, education, and environment. The way things are now going, only the privileged uber-rich will have these rights...rights which should be /everyone's/ by birth alone,.

  • @SGhockeychika4 elucidated: "Either way... It is an element of Socialism."

Then socialism is /good/. Glad you agree.

  • @SGhockeychika4: Since the US does not have universal health care, your argument is irrelevant. Stupid is as stupid does.

  • @SGhockeychika4: What offenses you see among /some/ who cheat welfare, pales in comparison to corporate greed that rapes every nation, and every culture, including democratic ones. The majority of people in need are /not/ cheats. You choose to be a lying, mean scumbag, well bully for you, Canada's better off w/o you.

  • So you know history, eh? Well, he's a little history for ya, you farting ignoramous:

    youtube.com/watch?v=gZvzdzwPVZUkyv99lrg

  • For some strange reason, that link won't respond, even though it's correct. This should work instead:

    youtube.com/watch?v=gZvzdzwPVZU

  • @SGhockeychika4: You certainly don't /act/ like you know your history and government, by your ignorant statements here! Even so, there are plenty of "knowledgeable" people who pervert history in order to achieve wicked goals. Even Nazis have their own learn-ed professors, economists, scientists and politicians. Too bad great knowledge does not equal great truth. Have fun with your perverted ideas about history...you are certainly a waste of education. I truly doubt you know more than me.

  • @SGhockeychika4: Welfare/social services is /not/ a free ride. No one in their right mind wants to go poor, jobless, and w/o the social niceties that make life worth living. The /real/ welfare bums are the uber-rich and their filthy, money-grubbing, soul-sucking, land-grabbing, democracy-destroying CORPORATIONS. One real problem is that a vast majority of jobs is non-fulfilling and w/o any social redemption. We need to put dignity into the job market, create a leisure society.

  • The only reason any public service turns to crap, is because the moment it gets on its feet, it is under constant attack by narrow-minded, wicked elitists such as liberatarians and other hateful types. Thus, the service that starts out good, soon gets sabotaged, and can only go on in a crippled fashion...when then gets pointed out by those same wicked people as an example of why welfare and other social programs fail. Honestly, the world would be much better off w/o your evil type.

  • @SGhockeychika4: No one asks to be born in such a troubled world. Therefore, every human being deserves basic rights simply for being born. No one gets anything for free...you are a liar and a malicious fool. We need a decent social safety net for /all/, including you--you ignorant turd--in case you fall seriously ill, suffer a bad accident, lose your livelihood, suffer a natural catastrophe, etc. Only the very very rich can afford to pay for such calamities.

  • @SGhockeychika4: Living proof that the old stereotype of Canadians being more civilized than Amerikans, is simply not true. You blame the poor by using a very ignorant stereotype that you are only poor if you're lazy. The /majority/ of the poor is due to social inequities resulting from a false-scarcity economic philosophy, such as capitalist libertarianism. You only spew venomous bigotry and persecution against the less fortunate, through no fault of their own.

  • @SGhockeychika4: Your ignorance knows know bounds. Universal health care, decent housing for the poor and homeless, a living wage for all (whether employed or not) is the obligation of every true democracy. That's not a nanny state, that's just plain decent, and, might I add, Christian. You are simply perpetrating boneheaded prejudice and cartoonish grasp of reality. Go dig a hole and crawl into it...better yet, make it a latrine!

  • @SGhockeychika4 spewed: "Everyone in America has an education".

But not everyone has a /decent/ education. Most public schools are simply holding houses for slave labor, until they become adults. Just because you had the good fortune to attend one of the very rare, decent public schools, does not mean it's the norm...public schooling of good quality is only found in affluent areas. You are at least a hypocrite, though more likely a liar.

  • @SGhockeychika4: Don't know what you mean by "city talk", but I can tell you this: the poor are scapegoated, which includes denying them a decent education. Only with education, can people make their own decisions, fight effectively for a better society, and take their future seriously. Otherwise, they are just sheep to be pushed around by the powers that be. Sadly, you can't show poorly educated people a better way that will benefit them..they are too brainwashed to believe you.

  • @SGhockeychika4 spewed: "Look at Will Smith, Bill Gates, Bobby Flay".

They are a RARITY, blown out of all proportion by a manipulative mostly-right-wing media. The reason why people have too many children (hence unwanted), is the extreme PRESSURE to breed, forced upon them by religious dogma about the hetero's role to BREED. Homophobia plays a big role in this, by creating FEAR of social rejection and violence, if you do not breed, 'cause then you're suspect as being a "faggot".

  • @SGhockeychika4:

That's the Horatio Alger myth, as if Amerika has some magic power in its so-called democracy, where everyone has equal opportunities. The truth is: poor people who become rich is an extremely rare event...and it can happen in any other country including non-democratic ones (like the USSR, China, Afghanitan, etc.). Just because it has happened to a handful, does not mean everyone has the chance, too, if they only put their nose to the grindstone.

  • What a sucker...he should've burned the flag, not folded it, for how this country treats its impoverished. People dying in the streets (most likely his fate), dying from lack of health care, gays being bashed, racism still rampant, and so on. Poor, brainwashed slug of Fascist AmeriKKKa. Reminds me of all the good Germans devoted to Hitler from day one.

  • @pewterbot9 Your pathetic. And I'd rather be poor in America than poor any place else in the world.

  • @Fischkid2 spewed: "I'd rather be poor in America than poor any place else in the world."

Your ignorance knows no bounds. At any rate, you're not poor now, are you...but I will gladly assist you in getting there. Tell me how I can help you slide down to utter poverty.

I'd rather be poor in any of these countries: France, Holland, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Germany, Spain, Portugal, or Belgium. Because you will neither be in danger of homelessness for being poor.

  • So, you guys know what ol' Gustus is up to nowadays? Me either. It's a shame that people offer up lip service to men like Bozarth but then forget so soon. And this, my friends, is why most everyone who claims patriotism is a liar. You howl and shout for joy; yea even in tongues when the lifeless fabric is lifted off of the ground; but you suffer flesh and blood to remain on the streets. You do greatly err.

  • @Ninjadelusion: Well spoken. Fanned and faved. Obviously, your comment will take a lot of flack from the ignoramus brownshirts who call themselves patriots. Too many hypocrites in this country, too few good folks. The flag is just a piece of cloth, not flesh and blood. Guess which other culture worshipped symbols over substance? (Hint: it gave birth to the Nazis.)

  • @pewterbot9 TY ^_^

  • Shut Up 'SaintsFan4Life' Obama is president deal with it loser!!!!!

  • this story gives me hope that there are some true patriots out there still. Mr. Bozarth must have just had bad luck in his life. Now, i hope that he gets cared for the way he deserves it. He is a great person.

  • this guy should be president not obama

  • Good job Gustus! If that were obama he probaly would have sold that flag for a bucket of chicken.

  • @02hondacr125 you are absolutely correct, Obama would have some change in his pocket to knock your mom in bushes as well, may be your red neck sister waiting on a line her turn inpatient.

  • Made homeless by the "Trickle Down Theory". Poor guy.

  • @GDK1 right, if we just had even more welfare programs he would be wealthy. free trade is what makes people wealthy, government programs only make people dependent on the welfare state. do you realize that money for your programs has to come from somewhere? you take money out of the private sector. even your socialist hero obama admits the private sector is what creates jobs.

  • GOD BLESS THAT MAN!

  • you all need to cut it out and show respect. Gustus "rambo" Bozarth is one of the most humble men I have ever met in my life and he will be rewarded for his kind patriotic act. May God Bless Mr. Bozarth

    El Paso, TX

  • @915renegades "Bozarth is one of the most humble men I have ever met"

Probably bashes gays. Believes in Jebus. Typical dumbfuck redneck.

  • Texas FTW :)

  • I everyone had the same respect for he honor of our country. I know we would be in a different state of affairs. God bless America and all her heros.

  • El paso is a big military town.

  • @oesat Wow. What a cynical jackass. Troll elsewhere.

  • @oesat and you are one pitiful, pathetic human being.

  • @oesat You're a douchebag.

  • @oesat You should move to Afghanistan then dipshit!!!

  • @oesat You wouldn't know a damn thing about love of a country you weak cunt. This man was not serving the rich, he was showing his respect for his country that allows him to live any way that he wishes to live. Now people are trying to help him in any way they can due to his selfless patriotism. Man I love this country. Wouldn't want to be any where else.

  • @coalyard2007: So all a homeless person need do to get help, is be seen by a hidden camera, folding the Amerikan flag? Meanwhile, all those homeless who don't catch on to this shtick must continue to be ignored and unaided by those more fortunate? Wow, what a great country...not. I have to say though, lucky for all other countries that you don't want to live anywhere else...for you spare them your subliterate brainwashed ignorant ideas.

  • @oesat

hey mr marxist ............ anyone in america who started with nothing can become the richest in the world

in your world view, the political class and the rest have a stone wall dividing them

  • @oesat He is not brainwashed showing respect to the flag and his country. Guess something you know nothing about

  • @oesat Fuck you asshole. It may pain you to see that some Americans love their country, but deal with it.

  • @dragonballsg: If you still love your country when it permits its own citizens to be homeless, destitute and w/o health care, that's not love, it's a codependent relationship. There should be a 12-step recovery group for your kind: "Patriots Anonymous". You remind me of all the Germans who loved their country, under Hitler, and turned on their own Jewish, gay, gypsy, and handicapped citizens.

  • @pewterbot9I agree with you that patriotism is, in many cases, a blind following of your country, whether it be into prosperity or into turmoil. However, it is my preference to not wallow in self-pity over what my country is not giving me, but to appreciate what it has given me, which is the tools needed to achieve success. If some people choose not to use them, so be it. I choose to take advantage of what I have now so I can get what I want later. So I honor my country for giving me that chance

  • @dragonballsg: "it is my preference to not wallow in self-pity over what my country is not giving me"

It is most certainly not self-pity, when a citizen dissents against egregious wrongs in his society. The USA has turned into a militant corporatocracy. When your common citizen no longer has access to these tools to achieve success, I'd say it's time for revolt. You, OTOH, choose to bury you tiny head in the sand, and act smug in so doing. Typical no-nothing American zombie sheeple. :D

  • @pewterbot9 You act as if the US came and raped you in an alley. If you don't like it, go to China or some other "free" nation. But so long as you are here using resources and federal and state budgets, you have absolutely no reason to say you are deprived. So whereas I have actually done something with my life, you choose to conform to the simple minded anarchistic beliefs you think make you original, choosing to blame society for your mistakes rather than take responsibility for your actions.

  • @dragonballsg vomited: "If you don't like it, go to China"

No need to travel, when the US has become just as backward and despotic as China. Considering you seem to think that anyone receiving gov't benefits in order to survive, has no right to voice their opinions as a citizen of this nation, I'd say you missed your calling as a dictator. You haven't done anything w/your life, you're a baboon who shrieks right-wing idiocy, Big farkin deal, you're a waste of life and a traitor to democracy.

  • @dragonballsg blabbed: "You act as if the US came and raped you in an alley."

My what an imagination you have...raping me! Can you say "closet case"? The US military has a major problem with men raping our women soldiers, as well as raping conquered people...and what does that tell you about our "godly" nation, hmmm? And any nation that allows any of its citizens to go homeless, is no better than China.,.,maybe even worse. If I ever fold an Amerikan flag, it will be to discard my excrement.

  • Deeply touching. God bless him. Yes I saw on yahoo news and came here.

  • If you don't realize it, Yahoo controls your brain and and mine too.

  • nice guy if only he lived in china he could have a factory job to start again

  • Great story. Despite having so little, he looks very content.

  • @bleakreserve: Jacked up on booze and heroin, of course he's "content".

  • @bleakreserve: Yeah, you'd be "content" too, if you were drunk to the gills and high on smack.

  • This man is the definition of a true patriot. I only wish I could shake his hand and help him get his life back. G-d Bless you and may your luck turn around.

  • Just awsome! Much respect

  • it's just a flag...

  • @mtkw08 exactly

  • @mtkw08 That flag and the patriots who wear her colors have done more for this world than you will ever understand.

    Your just sad.

  • @Fischkid2 ouch that really hurts me :(

  • @Fischkid2 pouted: "Your just sad."

And you're just a dizzy queen.

  • @pewterbot9 Please tell me how what this man did deserves anything less than thank you. Despite being down on his luck he is still inspired by the American Flag and took action to see it cared for.

If im a queen your a cum bucket.

  • @Fischkid2 whined: "Please tell me how what this man did deserves anything less than thank you."

Dimwits don't merit any explanation. As the saying goes: "Do not cast your pearls before swine."

"If im a queen your a cum bucket."

Doesn't work that way: wishful thinking ain't part of the package. LOL!!!

  • @mtkw08 Yes, it is just a flag... but the reason he did this is because of what it stands for.

  • @SuperSecretSquirrel: I'll tell you what the Amerikan flag stands for: Pillage and rape of the 3rd world. War upon war for greed of oil. Bashing every Latin American nation that struggles to become a democracy, until it is forced to become once more, a dictatorship. Pointless maiming and death of countless children and women across Asia and the Middle East. Imprisoning more and more of its citizens for victimless crimes, by privatized prisons. I could go on.

  • Thank You for posting this! Thank You Gustus Sir You are an AMAZING Person! :)

  • My question is: What is going to get done about that man to help him? I mean, he's homeless. If he's such a hero, why don't help him to get back to his feet?????

  • he is patriotic ,send him to EYERAQ

  • make him a hero, he deserves it, you know how Americans are patriotic and do the one without a name, a hero

  • Very touching. I'm not american, But i say America is blessed they have Gustus, the Patriot.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • @pontiupilato gushed: "America is blessed they have Gustus"

Yes indeedy, and the more homeless we have, the more blessed we are. In a very short time, the US of Assholes will become the /most/ blessed nation on the planet. Let's get busy and fold those stupid, useless flags.

  • A salute to you SIR!

  • That's cute.

  • i think he deserves the medal of freedom or the citizens medal for saveing the flag

  • I like when people do the right thing even when they assume no one is watching. I like the way he is kind to cats. It all speaks volumes of someone's character.

  • I'd buy this guy some porn!!!!!!!!!

  • @peterpoop: Make sure it's gay porn.

  • He is probly homeless from medical debt. Before this he was a bum, now he's a patriot.

  • he's a bad ass. most people would let a HUMAN blow away before they'd risk getting their shoes wet.

  • @gremlinmischief: Most people would rather fold the Amerikan flag than help end human misery..

  • This is what fuels America. Acts of pure patriotism in simple ways.

  • @isoccer23n7 blurted: "This is what fuels America."

With fuel like that, no wonder Amerika's sputtering a rapid descent into a cesspool of ignorance and misguided belief.

  • @isoccer23n7 Obviously you are not a true man. No heart or soul.(and no education. Ex. "Amerika")

  • a very touching heart felt story. woud be nice if some locals could help him out. he is a true american.

  • I came to work really tired and wondering what exactly I am doing..I noted this video on Yahoo main page, opened it and watched it. I was deeply moved and had tears in my eyes to watch this man do what he did. Even though that the man is homeless,he took time during a storm and while it rained, to rescue our flag. It never seems to amaze me what americans can do..We are the most forgiving, caring nation in the world that only other countries can envy. God bless America, home of the brave..

  • @ddnak36

I got misty watching this too. I am sitting halfway around the world and it makes me proud that I am American. Often people forget about what our flag represents. It represents the blood, tears, sweat, and ideas that our country men and women have foughght and died for. If you ever see an American flag on the ground, take the time to pick it up. I make sure my children understand the significance of our colors.

  • @sandrawally bawled: "I got misty watching this".

You big fat sack of maudlin hypocrisy and Philistine debauchery.

  • @pewterbot9 Not sure what country you are from. I dont really care. In America, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I know I would give my life for what this flag represents. My opinion is that you have nothing better to do than troll around Youtube. Maybe one day you will learn the sense of respect and pride.......Doubtful though....

  • Awsome

  • I'm in El Paso and heard about this a few days back, now this guy folks is a true American! God bless him.

  • All-right!!

  • Thumps Up If Yahoo News Brought you here

  • @XxRedemtion187xX Yep

And this was great. Anyone, even other countries can appreciate and be moved this. I feel bad foe not knowing how to fold the flag. I should ask me dad, he was in WWII so I'm sure he'll know about this.

  • @FangnclawXD Dont feel bad, it was an honest mistake. I held the flag wrong before and i do feel bad too.

  • @XxRedemtion187xX yahoo news vids takes forever to play..

  • @XxRedemtion187xX : yeah, I kept watching this video on Yahoo News. What a great story!

  • @XxRedemtion187xX Finally, a yahoo news summary worth reading.

  • he probably was the one who knocked it down..

  • @agent1up Save the negative comment for somewhere else. Why disrespect a good deed?

  • @wbyco spewed: "Why disrespect a good deed?"

Because it's pathetic, hypocritical and downright disgusting that the press makes such a big deal over this man's small action, while shows no compassion for the many citizens who are destitute and homeless. And just as "patritiotic" if not more so. Like Hitler being moved by an injured puppy dog in a concentration camp.

  • @pewterbot9 No it's not like Hitler being moved by a injured puppy. It's just about a person picking up an American flag, that's all. The love for our flag has given you the right to speak anyway you feel. So keep up with the sad and angry comments, that's one thing you have the right to do because we are free!

  • @wbyco: No flag gives me, or anyone else, your inalienable rights. Only the laws of nature do that...and applies to any person on this planet, not just Amerika. My comments are neither sad nor angry, it is only your dumbfuck ignorant and arrogant attitude that puts such a spin on my truthful words. Amerika, the land of freedom, is a LIE. If you love the flag, you love a lie. Like Christians believe they have a monopoly on truth, "patriotic" Amerikans believe they have a monopoly on freedom.

  • @agent1up Or you were the one who caused the wind. Bet your fat and sitting on your couch eating hormel chili out of the can. Don't go outside if your gonna much on the fart fuel, cause look what you did.

  • saw this on yahoo news. apparently he roams the country. oh the people who can be awesome.

  • Comment removed

  • I'm deeply touched. He taught me a lesson

  • @startagain47 what did he teach you?

  • @ryjahman "What did he teach you?"

There's a sucker born every minute? Amerika's big on show but poor on compassion? Dirty white hetero bums still have it better than hard working, clean and responsible black homosexuals? It's okay to burn fags, but not flags? Poor people only need to fold an Amerikan flag before a hidden camera, and their lives will suddenly improve?
