Dear God don't do this!! Tim, I like your stuff, but your lawyers will crap if they ever see this. Kettlebells are narrow so there is less chance if hitting your legs. A wide weight plate crashing into your shin?? If you don't have perfect form, you could really hurt yourself. Kettlebells are solid cast pieces, not parts that can separate. If this flies apart mid-swing? Last, but not least, a single clamp to hold 50 or 100 pounds that you are swinging, perhaps above horizontal? Those plates
@josephithink actually he recommends replacing the parts every 6 months. Better to be safe than squishing your cat or busting your toes should the parts give out :)
That said, I recently made one and it works perfectly. I have 50lbs on it and it is rock steady. One thing I did differently was use locktight on the top handle threads...a little more security. Good luck.
The part that got cut off is that if the plates slide back for any reason you won't be able to turn the pages on Tim's next book! Safety first!

I built a T bar a while back. I taped up the treads with gorilla tape. If you don't your hands will get sliced up>
