@hopecamel You have to be 21 yrs old to purchase a handgun but the statute doesn't cite a minimum age to open carry a hand gun. Some parents allow their minor children to openly carry a pistol. Examples would be while hunting, target shooting or within a building of a family business or home. NH law recognizes reciprocal concealed carry rights with 14 other states in the US. I don't think you must be a resident to open carry but I think you'll have to also abide by your home state firearm laws.

All police officers are required to rectify for firearms proficiency. In my area they are required to rectify every 6 months, however, most cannot rectify (skill not time) in the duration of the specified month, so any qualification in the 6 months is accepted as the 6 month qualification.
