I am here on business with my wife and we are both loving living here. We are from Houston. We have not seen ANY cowboys/gals yet. Someone, sent a letter in to someone that is spreading some info on what is going on in Calgary. He says leave your own top 10, just let people know what the Spampede is, a big party with rides and games like a carnival lasing a week long with bull riding and coach wagon races with concerts every night attracting hundreds of thousands of people. OR in short, one hell of a party week.

It's actually a pretty good list.. just a bad discription of all the events that where listed lol.
Stampede especially is fantastic, giant amusement park gets setup, bands usually come to play, there's the beer gardens and then a bunch of bull riding n shit alot of people don't care about but is an excuse to drink and get crazy.
There's also a rule during stampede, "It's not cheating.. it's stampeding"

The stampede is such a shit-show. It's something to experience if you're visiting Calgary, but once you live here, you will detest it.
The guy who submitted this list, obviously has no life. He left out places like Prince's Island, Kensington, Eau Claire Market, The Glenbow, The Military Museums and not to mention all the art-scene stuff going on all the time.. CIFF, anyone?
