  • I wish someone would make a missile pod for RC planes using fireworks in which they can be attached on the wings and can be launched remotely. Then we'll have edf fighter versus fighter air combats and we see styrofoam planes getting shot up to pieces.

  • who needs nitro and a motor

  • For christ sake people the technology is out how do you think the air force has unmaned aircraft that can launch missles duh dorks except i like ur idea to make the plane and missels much smaller but they need to pack the same punch

  • more like flares

  • Nice with the SMBs (Saturn Missile Battery)

  • now what we need is someone to put a camera and some rockets on the plane, if all goes well it would look like some pretty decent gun camera footage

  • Haha, Coool! Lisää tälläsiä =)

Ite on ollut suunnitelmissa mun Hornettiin vetästä joku rakettitsydeemi, mut mielellään laukaisu radiolla =) Se on sellanen art tekin 64mm puhaltimella oleva värkki.. videoita löytyy tuola mun nikin alta :)

  • super alsum!!!

  • ahha

  • nice vid ;)

  • if only they were guided, and more powerful :P

  • @bigglessy When we have mini computers the size of 1 cubic centimeters that can do what a laptop can do five years ago. Then we can make mini RC rockets that can lock on to targets.

  • I am sure with a slightly bigger rocket you could easily have a wire guided misile, there is enough micro-electronics out there to do that. have the computer on the ground and basics on the missile?

  • The computer would be the easiest part, i could make something the size of a thumbnail that would do the job. The vectoring thrust or control surfaces would be the hard part.

  • micro-motors and a 9V battery should do the trick. with trial and error it prob wouldn't be too hard

  • You have to have a receiver, transmitter, computer, 2 very small servos, power supply, rocket fuel and nozzle all in something thats as small as a bottle rocket. It will be very difficult but i'll see what i can do.

  • not necessarily that small, it could be mounted on a launcher it doesn't have 2 be launched from an rc plane

  • Well if i made it the size of an small model rocket i could make a surface to air missile to shoot the rc plane down.

  • plus using a wire guided system removes the need for transmitter/receiver

  • The weight of the wire could cause the missile to have trouble steering. They can only use it on full size missiles because the size of the wires needed is only tiny compared to the weight of the rocket and the power of the propellant.

  • I am sure I have seen very thin wire before, maybe some of that? plus surely a lenghth of wire weighs less than transmitter/receiver electronics?

  • The wire would have to be able to withstand a fair amount of heat because sugar + potassium nitrate (model rocket fuel) burns at very high temperatures. The transmitter and receiver don't hang down from the back of the rocket unbalancing it.

  • lol

  • fire works cool!!!

  • what about night flights and servo ignition?

  • Comment removed

  • backwards rockets ,like flares.

  • ROFLMAO !!! O-\\_//

  • hmmm... the only thing it needs is missiles that travel faster than the airspeed of the plane, this way you can get missiles that fire forwards and overtake the plane :) p.s: what did u use 4 the missiles??

  • Those small rocets do travel faster than the plane. It almost hit me while filming :) You can see it clearly in the beginning but after a while you can only see the small flashes. It's a common firework with 20 small rockets.

  • Thats awesome

  • More and heavier ordnance next time :)
