  • OK Pete: This clip is great. You are keeping Charlie on the ball! I work at a body shop in San Francisco and I will certainly keep in mind your lesson. Oh, by the way, the musical bed is a Bossa nova classic, "Voce" by Roberto Menescal.

  • @lrlforfun Atleast you have good taste in music. Thanks Pete

  • Good videos I've been watching. And have some questions. Im working on a similar dart Mine is a 72 but the body lines are about exactly the same. Im a newbe at body work. I had to section in a new quarter panel and I filled over it. Whats the best way to get my top body line back?

  • @eaglesguy1981j I dont believe the line is sanded gone just behind the filler....

  • "the reason i'm doin that, is a reason" hahaha good shit

  • I've got a dart with little door dings right on that same line - this video will help me - thanks!

  • @coachD111 Glad to be of help.. Pete

  • @mecanicman66 your'e a pussy shut up.

  • @mecanicman66 Dont worry! its humor behind the attitude and he is not angry. Be smarter!!

  • the tape trick / tip will come in really handy when I'll have to block sand my 68 Mustang, it has those long lines on the doors and quarters, thanks again Pete

  • Hi Pete.... can you tell me please, what brand clear coat you recommend me,... i looking for a good brands, no too expensive.... thinking paint my hole car. getting confused, too many brands and number or types.

looking something good around $90 to $150 with the activator.

    thanks.

i like yous videos, very educative. and funny. :-P

  • Come on now Charley , what the FUCK !

  • omg hahah when he said "what the fuck charley where are we at?" lmfao i was dieing laughing ahah great video :)

  • Hey pete, do you need to use special sand paper to use with the block or can you use normally sand paper ?

    Thanks very much Jake

  • @MrVWT You have to use automotive grade sand paper.. The three most popular grits are 80, 180, 320 dry sand paper.. I use MERKA Gold Brand instead of 3M due to the price, and meraka is a much better quality to me. Thanks Pete

  • Hey. Use 3M guide coat to find those 36 grit scratches. Is that featherfill you are sanding or primer filler? Primer filler wont fill anything coarser than 80 grit,I personally would'nt want primer covering 36 grit scratches. The primer would shrink over time and show.Darts body lines are a bitch to straighten

  • @kmitch014 I agree,, TELL THE EMPLOYEES that 36 grit scratchs are NOT primer ready materail, and we'll all be happy. Pete

  • thanks for the vid pete. gonna use this info for my 65

  • People, i believe that this is just a "hard ass" act. Honestly i think pete is a good guy who just plays the "hard ass" boss.

He does freakin favors for everybody including hiring trevor who is just a kid and has NO skills. Go with it folks.

  • @MoonlightAutoRepair Thankyou. I am addicted to Pete's videos, because he does such incredible work on a shoestring. A man after my own heart so to speak, but the people bashing and blaming everyone else for all his own fuck ups just leaves me cold.

  • hey Pete how do you clean those dura blocks im going to order a set

  • @ZONER4201 Clean them off with laquer thinner.. Pete

  • never ceases to amaze me how many "professionals" watch petes channel just to tell everyone how it is really supposed to be done. we should all thank the professional body men and women here for correcting pete and showing us how. bimjales: cory was a know it all prick, i love to hear pete talk shit about that asswipe. the big mouth is still fucking pete from the unemployment line, 1 year later. side job cory, use your employers shop and material to make extra money yeah real nice....NOT

  • Charlie seems like he wants to learn.. Looks like you got a keeper Pete...Good job Charlie.

  • Great job Pete and Charlie keep making peoples dream cars come true, you guys rock.

  • you need a much shorter block on that top line...something about 6" long. It makes it much easier to feel where the line is...you dont need to see it , you need to feel where it is. work those lines from above and below to make them straight and square. you should be able to feel those lines without looking at the car.

  • @dcbt96 I agree that you should be able to feel those lines, but face it man Pete is showing a great technique here!! This will be much faster then just "feeling" the lines! Always a very good idea to place and use guides. I completely disagree with what you said about not needing to see it. Body work takes two senses not just one!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great video Pete go easy on charlie with the camera guy I dont think any of your previous camera guys ever got it down right

  • Hey Pete. It offends me the way you talk to Charlie. In fact you talk to everyone like they were stupid. I love your work, but shit I get sick of hearing you complain about everything and everybody including Cory who you will never cease to complain about.

Cory has been gone almost a year, but you can't let go.

Sorry, I just had to say that.

  • @ryderims have you let charlie lay Mi..........LEAVE IT !!!!!! LOL

  • excellent vid

Heres a BIG money saving and time saving tip for You Pete,

get the blocks with the velcro system rather than the sticky backed, the rubbing down strips have the corrisponding hooks, just like any velcro stuff works

the advantages are, no glue clean ups, the sheet comes off in one peice and can be put on and off as many times as you want, so if you are changing up and down grits you don't kill good sheets

if dura block don't do the velcro blocks you can get conversion strips

  • charlie is a good guy, i hope he works out for you.

  • Great vid Pete, I've already learned a ton from your vids. Keep up the good work.

  • I learn Something Every Video!

  • GET IT TOGETHER, CHARLIE, JUST FOLLOW THE HANDS!

  • What is left made in USA. All the crap from China is exactly that pure crap

  • @snakeoil24 I HATE chinese bullshit rotors.. They suck, don't look right and are all "lightweight design " eve when the company says they are against it. I weighed Original rotors and replacement china rotors. They have larger vanes are are 3 pounds lighter than the originals.. Our Country does not care about china allowing their JUNK to get on USA shelves. Its a shame But its not just Steel and brake rotors. its almost ALL CAR PARTS THESE DAYS

  • @ghtowagon dUDE, WHICH BRAND DID YOU USE?

  • @CoolasIce2 They all are Chinese now. Only 2 companies in china make brake rotors for every known brake manufacturer, Even the OE' manufactures. Yup. New 2010-11 cars, They have Chinese brakes.
