Yes, things have sure changed. But, one thing remains... nature was always intended to be our home and one day we will all be back in the garden -better than the peace and loveliness of these mountains, if we make Jesus our Lord.
tv then was imfomational to young people. remember conjuntion junction, im just a bill, and all the abc afterschool specials? the mini news between cartoons on saturday called 60 seconds? you would think that broadcasters would want to feed kids quality programs but alot of it is junk. yes i know times have drastically changed since i was a kid growing up in the 80s but quality has no expiration date. grizzly adams took me to another place that felt safe if only for one hour.
loved the show myself and have enjoyed a clock rewind to my more innocent days waiting for the show to come on hoping it would last forever thanks for giving me a chance to relive it. man i miss shows like that!!
Thank you SO much for up-loading this! I just watched the whole pilot and it brought back very precious memories! You will never know how much it meant to me to see this! Blessings!
beautiful!!!! thanks for sharing this....fond memories .. this show holds a special place in my heart.. you have allowed me to get a peek through the window of that place once more... and im smiling ..another BIG THANKS!!!!
Loved the show growing up. I work in tv production now and had a shoot that Dan Haggerty was a part of. Great guy just as peaceful as you would imagine. tragically his wife was killed two months later in a motorcycle accident hitting I believe a deer. I would love to see a remake of this movie, kids and adults today really need it. Makes me miss my childhood in NH. I think Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins would be incredible in these rolls.
I was 15 when this came out and my little brother and myself watched it religiously- I think the series lasted a year or 2 and we were surprised when it just stop playing on TV- My cousins that lived next door to us watched it too and we would all talk about the episodes the next day- We all use to dream to live like this- I suppose in a way we did- We grew up in a Suburb of Atlanta when it was still mostly forests- We hiked and fished alot always eager for our next adventure- ahhh the memories
I loved this show as a kid. I romanticized the wilderness too, until I moved closer to it. Armchair adventurers beware; what's not accurately depicted, is the harsh way the mountain environment has of sorting out the strong & weak. Bug out if you will, but the responsibilities don't lessen, they merely change. There's hardly any true wilderness left in the US, so consider that too.
I appreciate ladbrokesmafia taking the time to upload these.
Beautiful stuff, THANKS! 35 years changes one's views significantly. The character that was portrayed did little that was heroic. Perhaps it's just poor writing but who leaves his child & once found by the grown child tells her he loves her more than anything in the world & then says good bye forever? And why continue to "run" if the guilty party was found? And leave a perfectly good cabin with winter approaching? Maybe kids didn't notice this stuff. I know I overlooked it back then.
@KnqsX ... i know you wrote your comment 2 months ago but i just wanted to say....this was just the pilot to see if people would like it.. the series came out later..where he was captured 6 years later when pegs mom died adams went to get peg from town... he had a trial and was convicted.. then was cleared when the witness told the truth...
awesome! grizzly addams is a great hero of mine, from childhood! thanx for posting. if times were only still as innocent. kids today have no sense of real heros as they are to wrapped up in whats the flavor of the moment. i'd love to go off the grid.
- Much like the others who have posted, I want to thank you for uploading this movie. I've wanted to see it again for over thirty years as well. I've looked everywhere for it, and blindly lucked out when I saw your linc. I would love to get a hold of this someday. Thanks again!
