compress makes the volume of the entire song more even. Dynamic wise. Because something when you sing into the microphone, you will often move away from the microphone and the volume is uneven. Compression smooth it out to make it sound better.
Hello I am using Sonar 7 @ the moment thinking about upgrading to 8. I would like to have a 24 mic input capability to record simultaneously ( Hammond B3, Horns, Drums, 2 Guitars, Bass guitar, 7 vocals, and 3 keyboards with stereo inputs. I would also like to have a hands on DAW control. What mixer / DAW controller combo will fit the bill.
Just popped in to say that I upgraded to Sonar 7 from Cubase 4, and I am not looking back! Without a doubt, Cakewalk is the way to go for casual and professional audio engineers alike! Keep up the great work!
I barely bought my Sonar 7, but i want to make my own studio for my own usage of my band, im wondering if i need an audio interface for 2 vocals, 2 saxophones, 4 keyboards, and a 7 drum piece set?, which one would you recommend??, do i need a mixer to get the equalization done or is it in the software and only buy an audio interface?, i got my Window Vista, and i need help.....
Yes you do want an audio interface. Do you want to record all of that simultaneously? That will affect the decision on which one to get. You can do your EQing inside the software.
well i could just do everything at once without the drums for the begining, and then maybe just have the drum record at the end. But can u master you songs in the program too?, i was looking at some interfaces, and i foun this one
"TASCAM US-1641 USB 2.0 Audio/Midi Interface" in guitar Center. Whats do you think?
Yes you can master songs in SONAR Producer Edition. It includes a mastering EQ, and Mastering multiband, and a peak limiter. The Tascam interface would work nicely
oh, thanks bro, is that all im gonna need besides the mics, and the cables in order to record some jamz into the computer?, or is there somthing else im gonna need?....
Yes you could use SONAR to record vocals over Karaoke tracks, although we don't encourage the use of Limewire because you are stealing others intellectual property.
I just ordered Sonar 7 Producer Edition and it should be here in about 3 days. I really took the effort to to compare all the major DAWs with each other and congratulations, Sonar came out as the BEST! I'm really excited because the futures you guys are providing are really astonishing!
is there videos for sonar 7 home studio?

Will sonar 7 be enough to produce hiphop and rap? I need to have a lot of stock sounds and enough audio editing capabilities.
Haproli 4 years ago
Without a doubt. You have thousands of sounds to choose from and amazing editing capabilities.
