  • do gays have their own bible???? man shall not lay with man..is in mine....

  • I get tired of this false comparison of being black with being gay. That is a ridiculous comparison. Marriage is defined by the Creator, not us. And the Creator does not recognize "gay marriage." Marriage laws in this country are based on the Bible, not what people think. The people voted against gay marriage here, and biased, activist (or paid off) judges overruled the will of the majority in a democracy. Now, with prop 8, we get to put things right by a yes vote.

  • I am tired of people inviting themselves into other peoples lives. Don't judge, worry about your own life and leave other people alone. Keep your own life in order and mind your own business and let other people mind theirs. Enjoy your own life because one day someone might invite themselves into your life and try taking away your rights and suppress you. Be careful what you wish for, or do to others. One day someone may decide to hate you. All Human Rights are good for everyone!

  • Its a shame that in a supposed democracy that a court can veto the voice of the people. Only in America.

  • This marks the end of America. The wickedness of these morons in this country has reached i's climax. It's time for God to wake up these psychos. God will soon judge this country like Burma(Myanmar). Woe to this country of Sodomites.

  • I'm happy that they can get married in California. :) We should not live in a fascist Christian country. Where religion rules over all. Or do we already??? 0_o

  • Marriage equality in California - fantastic news!

  • umm wtf are you talking about? The ruling wouldnt force churches to perform or recognize the unions, this only has to deal with the state.

    yea for gay marriage

  • I realize that but I'm making a point. What if a gay person sues because of discrimination? Does the supreme court ruling set precedent to say that would be discrimination? I have not read the law and I'm unsure if theres anything to do with this on there, but just as gays deserve their rights so do religious people. You can not take away someone else's rights to give someone else rights (I'm not saying thats the case in California just in general).

  • rights are not to be infringed on, there is no right to override the right of another. All people are to be employeed and accepted regardless of who they are or what they represent.

and once again, the law only mandates that the court and clerk systems in California issue marriage licenses and in cases where the participants pay, perform the ceremony. It does not force churches to recognize these unions, but they are free to do so at their leisure.

  • I should point out that the court's ruling does not force anyone to marry them in a church. It sounds like you may not have understood this.

  • I realize that. I'm just making that point. I'm happy with the ruling.
