My 1st day on HCG was 31May, 1st day of the VLCD was 02Jun2011. As of today, I am down 21 pounds and feeling great! I frequently test my urine for the presence and concentration of acetoacetic acid (ketone). When this substance is found in the urine, it provides information on carbohydrate and fat metabolism. If you want to do exercise, I recommend mild swimming. That is allowed on the Simeons Protocol, and it works all muscle groups. I did that during Round 1, and did well. I'm hoping to have time to do that now that Round 2 is starting.
Well, if swimming is out, try a leisurely walk - nothing like speed walking, just a mild walk. it can get the blood moving and won't put a strain on your body. Trying to exercise too much will force your body to try and pull too much from your reserves and may cause you to go into starvation mode, and your body will resist burning fat, even with HCG. Just relax.... and let the HCG do it's thing.
Few questions. While on this program can you use a treadmil? Also, does this diet give you a burst of energy? Most diets leave you feeling tired and sluggish, is it the same way on this diet? How much do you have to intake as far as calories?
I am worried about the working out part. I don't want to get lose and flabby from losing weight so i would like to try and build some muscle or keep some tone. I haven't seen much info on working out while on this and different effects people have had so thanks for the update!!

Not sure why youtube stats said 0 veiws on this video because I, for one saw it yesterday!! I am on HCG and have been on for 2 weeksish... losing wieght like CRAZY!! When you are on the HCG program you can't exercise? I never heard that before.

When on the HCG diet, you are only taking in 500 calories, so it is not advised to work out. You can walk, just don't over do it.
