These guys are easily one of the best, most innovative live punk bands. I met the lead singer (stage name: Jack Terricloth) after I saw 'em live in CT. He's truly awesome and fun to have a conversation with.
I've seen them about five times now, between Baltimore and DC. I was at the Baltimore show a few days before this one, it was with Bouncing Souls. They probably put on the best show I've ever seen.
I saw them headline in Baltimore back in April, and that was a pretty rad show too.
Thanks for sharing that Chuck. They've always been irregular tourers in our area so I've never gotten to see much of that, but they've always put on an incredible show and it's just unbelievable that they don't sell out bigger shows.
probably the 2nd best live band ive ever seen (1st is a tossup between dropkick murphys and against me) but i saw them at the ottboar, in baltimore. no more than 100 people were there, and everyone was doing crazy ass ballroom dancing on the floor, it was an experience
i agree that DKM puts on an awesome show, although i'd probably give my number 1 to Gogol Bordello. but the best thing about W/IFS is that thw shows are little and you can totally go crazy, whereas at most other shows there's always lots of people and very little room. i think i was at that ottobar show, was awesome. nothing better than waltzing in a mosh pit, something i think only a W/IFS fan can understand.
ive seen DKM and ive seen gogol bordello, but nothing compares to world inferno headlining a show in NYC, it is by far the greatest musical experience. i saw them play at the bowery a few weeks ago, with a full lineup being supported by gutbucket, they even had franz, and they played Models, there is no comparison between world inferno and any band made up of mere morals
It will be on their new album Addicted To Bad Ideas: The Peter Lorre Story, coming out September 11, 2007. They slowed it down a bit, but otherwise it's the same as in the video (I have an advance copy!).
I remember that party.. i was there and i was like 7 yrs old and i rly wanted to take a piss :S but it was good days though ^^ <3
