  • Nice work but I'll burn u. Speed wise. '

  • I just got a set of tools, next investment is the auto taper. I've been used to pushing a trowel and banjo for so long the boxes are a lot easier. But you make it look too easy

  • I just got a set of tools and next investment is the auto taper. Im new but already see that these take some finesse and you make it look easy

  • not bad old man.

  • Great another invention trying to kill a mans living.

  • Nice job,but the can light on the 2nd ceiling flat could use some attention??

  • where can i get this kind of tool andwhat brand are they //

  • I'm buying myself a set of boxs next week.. love your vids!!... gives me a good idea how to use them..

  • Well,I've had a 10 and 12" box for a wee while now.. getting the hang of them, i do the first coat by hand with seting compound then get the boxes out for the 2nd and 3rd coats.. I'm going to try filling the first coat with the 10 inch and then using 10 inch again for second coat finnishing with 12 ...got bulk work ahead of me after having a month slack...buying flat boxes was the best thing I ever did!

  • si que save trabajar el ruquito esta!!!!

  • nice work im been doing this for 20+years too and you sure know how to run those tools you make it look easy. (Im not as tall as you).

  • How bad is the clean up on the tools? Ive always used the banjo/handtools and have never used any of these auto tools before. I bought a set of Columbia tools the other day and was wondering about that.

  • Too bad that the dumb dealer was in for $500 when he doesn't know anything. 5 - 10 minutes with the spray nozzle, does a fine job of cleaning all of the tools. Make sure to spray thru the filler nozzles, and up under the back end of the angle heads, beneath the frames where they meet at the top/back.

  • hello, I like the videos...you obviously know what your doing. I have about 20 years of tool work under my belt, and I feel all beat to hell these days (I am 38). I used to do 2 houses a week by myself working footage, I do a lot more commercial these days. Anyways we all do things a bit different, but when I run all tools I walk a little more but save my arms and time by doing one motion at a time. example: anglebox...I pull all corners up, then down, all left, then pull all right.

    Ralph

  • Hey Ralph,

That's cool, they say walking is good to avoid that middle age spread, I need to start doing more of it, too.

    Thanks, Jon

  • Damn. We (2) average 10,000 with regular hussel and regular hand tools and a banjo. Thats not bad!

  • That's about right, on average, a set of tools will triple production. The legendary tool men that I came up with would do 500 sheets a week @ 2,00 per.

  • How much footage can you average a week with the tools?

  • 15,000 Normal work week, without serious sweat. Average production type work.

  • Bullshit.
