It's a video of a kaleidoscope. The kaleidoscope views random pieces sitting on a speaker. The pieces dance when the music plays ( mainly eith the base, as you can see ). A video camera recordes the result. This is totally analogue ( except for the camera ) so no software is involved. It's actually REAL !!!! lol !!!!
Randolf2416 obviously has lots to offer and share with the world. Such an intelligent and eloquent ( you might need to look that up ) comment. Thanks very much.
this blows away my organic kaleidoscope projects and is a combination of a new device we are working on that uses high tension piano wire and a laser in lieu of the colored gels.
this is awesome. how did yu film the kaleidoscope? did you just put the camera in front of the place you're supposed to look into and turn the kaleidoscope?
The camera is pointed down the eyepiece hole, and the coloured pieces are on an upturned speaker. When the music plays, the pieces on the speaker vibrate. The kaleidoscope does the rest !!
Hi, I had to ask Chris, a local New Zealander, who did the music, and he took awhile to get back to me. He's working on a new cd, but said it'd be O.K for you to have a dvd of this one. If you're interested, I'll have to record it ( the video of the kaleidoscope is mine ) but I could send you one. There are 5 tracks on this cd. Let me know. Cheers, Andrew.
