But, I really do expect people to uphold their promises when entering something like this.

That's why I'm not opening new spots. It's ridiculous that people would sign up without the intent of actually following through.

I'm sorry to everyone who has actually finished their MEP parts so far; the final product WILL be up eventually, if I have anything to say about it. I'll be getting in touch with these people who can't commit to something.

At this point I think you should put your foot down. :/ Unless the person has contacted you letting you know that they are having issues with life or schoolwork, even then it would nice if they would step down and let someone else do the part, two months should be enough to do an animation a few seconds long. It's up to you and I respect whatever you decide to do, but two months for a few seconds of animation is excessive.

I pick based on a) If they have completed, detailed animations on their channel already, that feature advanced movement (IE not just a lip flap).

b) Who asked the earliest

and c) If they post animations regularly, so I know that they can be relied on to finish on time.

Popularity has nothing to do with this project.
