hey long time no talk, im finally starting to work on my norinco i had a couple more questions what kind of pistol grip nut did you use bugarian ect.? and how did you space it from the trigger guard as in how far did you cut the hole from the back of the trigger guard? thanks again i love the rifle i hope mine comes out like yours thanks, mark
@markfiasconaro The pistol grip nut I used was part of the Tapco PG nut/screw combo. Some folks have had trouble with them being too long for certain PGs, but I haven't. To figure out the location of the PG nut hole, I snatched some measurements from an AKM receiver template and transferred them to the bottom of the receiver using a scribe and calipers. It ended up being 0.7" behind the rear edge of the trigger hole and 0.5" square. Good luck and remember: measure twice, cut once!
for the color matching, you should look into Duracoat, its not the cheapest, but, itll definately stay on your rifle for a while once it cures completely.
@cammoman77777 Thanks! It's probably more style than substance, but it's a fun gun.
Thank you for watching as well.
