@lag0000 Modern Squeenix is concentrating too much on graphics and not enough on storyline elements and character development, the two most important aspects to any work of art. Why were the old 2D games loved so much? Not for their graphics, but for their sheer depth of plot and replay-ability.

Cerberus is the guardian of hell. Ifrits are genies in Arabic mythology. And Ifrit was in Final Fantasy long before FF7.
