  • TO THE KING SO EPIC OMG THIS I CAN WATCH ALL DAY ALL NIGHT

  • i love it, the guys at the back keep swinging their swords when the orcs are all dead XD

  • Man, when the sun blinds the orc's eyes as the rohirrim are charging... Gives me shivers every time!

  • EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC.... Just mother fking jesus christ oh holy lord EPIC!!!

  • If I had a penny for every pixel I'd have about 50 cents

  • Read in columns

    1080p Shit

    780p Bad

    480p Nice

    360p Good

    240p Great

    Shit Amazing

    Minecraft Epicness at it's best

    This video THIS SCENE!

  • 240p, we meet again...

  • Which pixel is Gandalf?

  • The Orcs: SOPA

Legolas, Gimili, Aragorn, Theoden, the people riding out: Opposers from SOPA as of when it was conieved.

Gandalf and the Riders of Rohan: New opposers of SOPA.

  • Like a boss, bitches, THATS how to attack an Orc army!

  • Which potato was this recorded with?

  • Yes. YES. The horn of Helm Hammerhand shall sound in the deep, ONE LAST TIME!

  • So...did EVERYONE else fighting with them at Helm's Deep die? Like all the boys and elderly etc...that's brutal.

  • @jag00237 Everyone who wasn't already inside the barricaded doors yes.

  • I'm pretty sure the sun just came up...

  • Does anyone else think that Jackson could have slowed down the scene of the charge of the Rohirrim even further to make it a lot more grandiose and really milk the emotional side of it?

  • totally unrealistic... horse vs spear? Still, this is a damn good movie.

  • @DaendyrProductions As the horses charge the spear line, Gandalf casts a spell (that is the bright white light you see). This effectively breaks the spear line as the orcs recoil from the spell and break rank, allowing the charge to work. It's a fantasy man, you can't expect it to be realistic, that is the whole point of fantasy! :D

  • @driftingeric2k4 well I guess that's true.

  • ... then i took an arro... godamit stfu already.

  • Man, im about 1/5 into the 5th book (reading the entire series, 1336 pages of epicness >:3).

That battle was epic, even on paper...

  • @TheIvanNewb

5th book? There are only 3 books in the LotR trilogy.

  • @Intranetusa You have aparently not spend 1 minute reading LOTR

Tolkien intended to divide the story out over 6 books but because of ecnomic reasons did they put 2 books inside 1 book, so the series has a total of 6 books.

  • @warlockmitch This is an awfully condescending remark. You can educate without sounding like a total jerk you know? There are MANY people who do not realize the 3 physical books were meant to be 6 individual books. Stop trying to sound so high and mighty, it does you no credit and makes you come off as an egotistical asshole. See itfc4ever8's comment on how to do it right next time.

  • @driftingeric2k4 Actually, Tolkien wanted to make one, large book after he had published the 6 smaller ones, but due to the shortage of paper in the aftermath of World War II (1950's), the book would not be able to be published in large numbers, plus it would be very expensive.

His publisher made him divide it into 3 books, and he hated naming them.

Sorry if I sound like a jerk, I don't mean to offend anyone :/

  • @warlockmitch

Yeh I did read them. I just don't count that as a separate book. There are only 3 book titles, hence to me, there are only 3 books. It has part 1 and part 2, but they're the same book.

  • @Intranetusa Actually there are 6, because each 'book' is split in two, eg, Fellowship is actually 2 books, as is Two Towers and ROTK

  • @itfc4ever8

Ah. I just call it part 1 & part 2...I don't count them as separate books imo.

  • @TheIvanNewb don't forget silmarilion and children of hurin, both epic on on their own rights

  • @cacharadoninwurm Never read them, only read the Hobbit and halfway through the Return of the King (Fifth book).

  • i used to charge orcs, then i took an arrow to the knee

  • then i took an arrow to the knee.

  • Good video

  • wouldn't it be akward if Gandalf is on top of that hill and he'd shout ''sorry guys. i couldn't find help. you're on your own:3 ''?

  • Fell deeds awake; Now for wrath! Now for ruin! And a red dawn! Forth Eolingas!!!

  • What the hell Gimli you're letting Legolas get free kills!

  • Enter epic quote here:

    Get thumb(s) up

  • Nasty/Funny lord of the rings trilogy....My channel!

  • Fell deeds awake

    Now for wrath

    Now for ruin!

    And a red dawn!

    *Horn*

    FORTH EORLINGAS!

  • These are the only movies that I get goosebumps from. This scene in particular sent a chill down my spine when I first saw it in theaters.

  • This always gives me the chills!!

    Best movies ever made

  • Im surprised the horses didnt fall.

  • the horn of helm hamerhead will sound in the deep one last time

  • here because of 9gag ... checking if gandalf wears a watch during the battle

  • What's the theme that starts at @2:46 called ?

  • does anyone notice the religious significance at 2:42? war in heaven anybody?

  • I love these scenes for their epicness.

But really, I'm quite amused by how the horses willingly charge into a spear wall.

  • @h3lblad3 they are to many....

  • @h3lblad3 A horse doesn't know what a spear is.

It's like saying I got my chickens to lay more eggs by putting an axe next to their coop.

  • @sinistergnr

It doesn't have to know what a spear is.

If I take a sharp pointy thing and place it near you, and you don't know what it is, you're still not going to run into it because, "Oh crap, pointy thing could hurt me. It's pointy."

  • it took 30 sec for gandalf to ride 2 meters

  • This movie may possibly have the best dialouge EVER.

  • "Let this be the hour that we draw swords together"

And that's when the elven gangbang began. Get in son.

  • someone should create a museum just for this epic trilogy xD

  • Helm's Deep: the only place you can ride a horse indoors!

  • 3.04 first strike

  • The white race must ride out and meet the third world invaders head on. For our people and for Europe.

  • weder kartoffeln noch die Cherrytomaten...gab es...aber der Flim...spitze

  • Personally, I prefer videos filmed with a camera, not a potato, but thats just me being picky again...

  • 0:38 - 1:09 God bless the English language.

  • Epic scene! Everyone says to me I grew up with Harry Potter well I didn't I grew up with Lord Of The rings! Hope to show this to my kids someday if I have them :) I have the soundtrack for all LOTR which theme is this for this part of the film?

  • @TekkenFan13 Forth Eorlingas

  • @TekkenFan13

I grew up with both :)

  • I used to charge with Rohirrim, but then I took an arrow to the knee

  • The orcs of this movie look 100 times better than monsters in new movies

  • I can watch this movie over and over again! but this scene gave me such wood that can slize an orc in half

  • The Last March of the Ents - H. Shore & Ben Del Maestro - 2002

  • 2:58 Thats why you should always wear sunglasses!

  • what it means to be immortal

  • Rousing stuff.... Chaaaarge!

  • That is one of the things I like about this Epic. The People who did this envisioned it in the proper epic scale and made it happen.

An Orc is a dark loving and troglodytic type, the do not cope with daylight all that well. Maybe the Uruk-Hai were more resistant due to adaptations by Saruman, but the bottom line is trying to hold the pike line in a blinding sunrise, plus having several thousand tons of Cavalry avalance coming down on you

  • this is never going to get old!

  • 2:50 Even if the pikeformation was holding firm, the share mass of the riders charging down downhill, the two forces would be crushed due to the acceleration of the mass of horses. It would have been a heroic death for the first riders of Rohan but the uruk-hai would have no hope to stop them one way or the other. Luckly for Rohan the formation open up, and allowed the slaughter to start

  • any one else just go run in the middle of traffic?

  • May this be the hour we draw swords together.

  • The two Rohirrim charges are some of the most beautiful battle scene film of our time. This movie I hope to show to my children someday.

  • @hcazelpram for me its Theoden's speeches, Tolkien gave him the best in the whole series!

  • @hcazelpram

    hahahahahahah gay

  • @hcazelpram I'll have to raise my kids with these movies...

  • epicness doesn't care about 240p...

  • that yell by ghandalf was the shit.

  • "Ride out and meet them" and "look for my coming, on the first light on the fifth day, look to the east" were the best lines of the film. embedded in my memory forever

  • for Rohan, for your people!

  • 2:06

    Gandalf: "Here we go"

  • Both of the Rohirrim Charges are my most favorite scenes of the movie. Not only do they charge to save Middle Earth... but they charge to some of the biggest dangers to them. Pikes against cavalry. Yet, even though they know they might die, they continue their charge till the last man stands.... epicness!

  • @Ltspongebob3 pikes against cav in battle for middle earth are suicide :3

  • 2nd best scene in film history, 1st being the Rohirrim charge. The epicness just flows throught. Tears in my eyes

  • "This was their finest hour..."

    -Winston Churchill-

  • This quality is so bad, I counted the pixels. There are 216

  • This is the best scene in movie history!

  • at the risk of being thought of as a lunatic fan (wich i am) i claim that i have seen just the two towers at least 200 times, not counting the fellowship and return of the king. And after 200 times i get those freakin' goosebumps every fucking time. This scene is just epic! I wish i was there rushing down on the uruk-hai, cutting off heads....even if it would be my last thing on this earth. I wonder if there is a real situation that can make one feel such pride, glory and honor while doing it?

  • I love Karl Urban talking about his role in this film. He said to himself, "Just don't screw it up."

  • My favorite part in one of the best movies I've ever seen. Light in the gloom...

  • For talk about this film i say " The best ever made film of all of time "

  • Epic

  • what is the name of the music in this scene?

  • I don't know why but everytime I see Gandalf and this scene I always have to thnk of Jesus and what he once said: "and behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age"

I am not religious or believing, rather an atheist, but the thought always comes up in that moment

  • very tuff 20 year old guy here, I just cried for about 10 minutes, this was to epic and beautiful

  • when i watch this, and i think that there's more to come with the hobbit, I fucking cry for joy and feel no shame!

  • FOR THE ALLIANCE!!!

  • Gandalf looks over the battlefield: Game on bitches...

  • 2:40 Dat gradient!

  • Best scene in cinematic history. That is all.

  • Hold on ima let you finish....... But Lord of the Rings has one of the best scenes of ALL TIME.

  • michael bay....take notes

  • Sheesh, I got chills whole time...

  • lol uruk-hai should have still in the war there was more xD

  • THIS ALWAYS GIVES ME CHILLS

  • I always cry in the end of this part

  • @Marianna7Dreamer why it is heroic not sad and crying for something heroic is kinda not supposed to be cried over it is something to be happy about

  • @DJxKILLERBOY117 I cried because i was so beautiful

  • Ответить на это видео... Sorry, IT was so beautiful and epic ...

  • @Marianna7Dreamer true true but i gotta say if you are gonna cry about something beautiful and epic cry about when the rohirim charge into the orcs at minas tirith that was beatiful 6000 rohirims vs well im not sure well a lot more orcs and basically owning all of them

  • tired of these fat nerdy white males that live in their mothers basement always bringing up stupid shit on epic videos like this. Slavery? lmaooooooo whats next justin beibers penis size?

  • This is pretty much every day in Minecraft for me.

  • gandalf is my hero :) !

  • Thumbs up if you find yourself cranking up the volume on your TV set during this sequence!

  • Let this be the hour were we draw swords together.

  • TO THE KING!!! What a fucking powerful line. Only true leadership could inspire such loyalty, I for one am willing and ready but our country's leaders are not up to the task.

  • @RedDeadKBII If you are referring to the US...then there are no "leaders". Infact, They are apart of the problem. They are puppets. Bush was a puppet. Obama is a puppet. They serve the ^eye. The next president will be a puppet. The only "leader" you should look to, is yourself.

  • who else got goose bumps when theoden said: FORTH EOLINGERS!

  • I bet only slaves talk about slavery on a Lord of the Rings video

  • everyone just stops fighting?

  • horses dont trip up?

  • Anu Belore Dela'na,

  • Fell deeds awake!

    Now for wrath,

    Now for ruin

    And a red dawn

    Forth Eorlingas!

  • This is way better ending than what JRR Tolkien actually wrote. And I'm not being sarcastic. In the book Theoden rides out yelling and all the orcs get scared and run away I mean WTF? This is far better. And Eomer is with Theoden the entire time, Gandalf goes and recovers all the scattered WestFold Foot soldiers.

  • Hey metathus so its understandable how you could feel like people out side your country are taking over and it it might feel like your country is losing its self which is sad when any part of history or culture is lost but we all have a single place of origin whether you believe in God or evolution so when you call others a “nigger” or any other type of insult along those lines your calling your self that too cause your no different or above any other person of race, handicap,or social status

  • oh 240p, we meet again...

  • Man this is so awesome I want to cry. LOTR forever

  • 68 orks whatched this video... =)

  • LOTR FOREVER!

  • Orks are cool and funny

I like their sense of humor

  • Because of this vid i might wake up tomorrow an watch it on Blu Ray...

  • I used to watch this movie over and over again and never got sick of it, i need to go back to those days! Im such a big fan of the lord of the rings movie's (ive read the first book but didn't finish the rest) and i used love the incredible feelings i used to get because of the special moments in it and ... it will be the best of all time for me!!!

  • And on that day not a single main character was harmed.

  • @333MJH But yet somehow Tolkien's amazing story is still.. amazing :) I strongly recommend A Song of Ice and Fire, if you're looking for something different. For me LOTR will remain always as my first legendary step in to fantasy books and ASOIAF will always be the mind blowing.. "change".

  • @Silkki6

    I Totally agree!

  • @Silkki6 I really like Lord of the Rings, I was just making fun of the impossibility of the main cast surviving in the face of such a horde.

  • @333MJH Yeah, I know what you mean and by all means I didn't intend to sound judging or anything in my previous post! :) But remember, ASOIAF.... ;)

  • goosebumps !!!

  • Does anyone else just get chills from the buildup to the charge? Absolutely beautiful filmwork.

  • Fell capitalist deeds awake. Now for wrath. Now for ruin. And the red dawn of socialism!!

  • my version of this battle would be:

when Theoden is charging out side the witch king change and calls all the armies of angmar once more from the dead and helps theoden. who said the DarkLord was almighty powerful. LOL, and gandalf help with Eomer and the rihirrim. OVER KILL!!!!

  • they were gonna leave Gimli in the tower

  • @Idrivethe405 No, Gimli just went there to wait for the Chinook extraction and randomly blew the horn just because he couldn't resist it (ADHD as he is, impulses, you know)..

  • What the fuck does slavery have to do with this?

  • 68 people who commented about slavery watching this

  • Every scene and moments in all LOTR trilogy are all the best in cinematic history :)

  • do elf know how to yous sords i thot the wepon of a efl was a bow

  • @bookdoge12 Heu??? Thats like asking if humans know how to use bows. On top of that elves live forever so they have all the time in the world to lern every art immaginable. If your refering to Legolas well he i is the prince of Mirkwood so yes he would be a badass in all forms of combat!

  • Aragorn: Gandalf.

    Gandalf: Theoden king stands alone.

    Eomer: Not alone. Rohirrim!

    [Rohirrim gather behind him]

    Theoden: Eomer!

    Eomer: TO THE KING!

  • Theoden king stands alone, NOT ALONE, ROHIRIM TO THE KING

  • Fucking beautiful. Makes me tear up every-time. One of the greatest scenes from the greatest movie.

  • 2:00 ferrari symbol!!!! YEEHEHEEAA

  • @TheDomtar uahuahuauahuauhauhauuaa

  • Why are both top comments about slavery? :O I clicked this to watch an epic clip not to take part in some tedious discussion :O

  • Whats the name of the music that plays here?

  • @monkidawg Forth Eorlingas is the song

  • this is how rohan always seem to deal with trouble: Cavalry Charge with momentum

  • FOR THE SHIRE!

  • why the hell are we talking about slavery?

  • @1XbatistaX1 Well maybe it splintered from the idea that Sauron would enslave the world of men, but he only wanted their complete destruction.

  • LERRRRROOOYYYY JENKIIIINNNNNSSSSSS!
