Rush poker claims that you don't have to wait until it's your turn to fold your hand so you can go to another table to act. But I believe that most card rooms displays a fold box even when it's not your turn. Even though if you click on this box technicaly your hand won't be folded until it's your turn you can still make the discision to fold your hand before it's your turn then go to another table to act. How this is different than rush poker other than the video showing when you fold?
Hey turtleknife i dunno how many comments you read but theres a play i didnt understand in this video... can u explain to me why you fold KQ on your bb to a button raise? just looking to expand my game. thanks, rob
@robsoccerpro85 I would assume because .35 is quite the raise at a .05/.10 table. And you'll come to realize that KQ offsuit is a grossly overplayed hand; dominated by the oft played AK and AQ. Not worth it to put yourself in a post flop situation 1.out of position and 2. with a marginal hand.
I for one am not big into cash games. I play they very rarely. I tried some rush poker and while its fun..its just not something I find that great. You can't read your oppoents because each hand is a new set of 9 players.
Also, so far it seems like early position is better than late. Blinds get stolen a lot easier when you do it in early position. Also people that act after you don't want to play against you unless they have something worth playing to a raise so they just click quick fold.
i got sucked out on much more playin this than at a regular tables. i wont be playin this again. ill just stick to playin 3 tables at a time so i can tells on other players.
beware, if you do play this you have to be VERY very focused. its extremely fast paced
I dont like that I mean ftpoker allready have probleme to get some new player and they keep having new futures, I tink its a bad idea from them also I saw u folding couple time k-q or q-9 turtle what was that? u guys can find me over PokerStars my nick name is IXoxy gl all
This is so good but will lead to more whiners about bad beats because you see so many more hands! I just lost QQ vs JJ Flop came 10 8 J oh well it was + EV :P
looks fun but.... is it really even poker? wont people just fold with nothing and be in there with hands - oh well i guess who cares if its really poker as long as yo makin that chedda right?
Sure, you will not know where you are position-wise, but over hundreds of hands this is going to even out. so there should'nt be a concern about paying too much in blinds, or being OOP too much either.
I think Rush Poker was designed for the daily grinders who just want to play more hands. I tried it a couple of time and I think it's not that bad. I played a couple of sessions that lasted under an hour and I came out ahead both times. I also like that you can earn FT points much faster playing these games.
I think this will really catch on, I played a small session and enjoyed it. Alot of action junkie fish will be playing this, data mining is impossible... since you're never at a table more than 1 hand.
With 10's-A's I raised, and if i had anything lower than aces, someone had an over pair. EVERY time. When I got aces, everyone folded to a small raise.
I think people are playing AA-77 pretty strong in this game. Best would be to play AA, KK, or suited connectors. What do you think marty?
Well I think once you are in a hand normal play applies, except for the fact that you have no profiling. The difference with Rush Poker really happens in between hands.

I enjoyed what I've played of it so far. Though I agree with the people who are saying TAG does not work here, at least not preflop.

Man all the fish are going to rush to these (excuse the pun). I don't think it's good for the game tbh.

First of all, loved the AQ bluff :-)
I am def going to try this.
I think you can (min) bet a lot of buttons this way. A TAG style / small ball poker looks like a great strategy here. Nice video
SjoerdvdKroon 2 years ago 2
That is absolutely ridiculous, looks like a lot of fun, but I do not know if it wud be profitable on the long term. Interesting to find out :)
SuperChuck3 2 years ago
Advantages: full tables, no sitting out. No down time, looks like TAG is good. More hands.
Disdvgs: No data mining info or profiling, More rake, less time for analysis.
TurtleKnife 2 years ago
TAG didn't work for me at all.
With 10's-A's I raised, and if i had anything lower than aces, someone had an over pair. EVERY time. When I got aces, everyone folded to a small raise.
