  • This is a great movie. dispite its odd and confusing plot.

  • @Kaexisas as wonderfully odd as it gets but what's so confusing about the plot??

  • @theomen84 you added one extra as to the end of my name.

  • this song makes my cry every time i hear it. it remindes me of my childhood because i have grown up with rocky horror . this film has to be the best film in histioy and should never be remade and is purfect the way it is

  • @tabbitiger I grew up on this too, jerks my heart as well (can't help but mouth the lyrics every time I hear it). Its weird that something so strange can be so profoundly sad.

  • I seem to enjoy the one with the stills more. Kind of seems to sum up the ending better with the song. Seems like too much movement for such a slow song

  • @jaysays 100% agree. This version is nice but the static pictures completes the song, it just fits more.

  • Science fiction , double feature (8)

    Lovely (L)

  • they should've used clips..either way is moving ;(

  • Love this song!!!

    makes me almost cry...lol

    :)

  • @raininmybows : It's about what lies below the surface the world's Brads and Janet.

  • To be honest, I'm still trying to figure out what this movie was about.

  • Whenever I hear this song when I watch the movie, I almost wanna cry.. Not only because of the song's qualties, but also because it marks the end of this wonderful movie. I NEVER WANT THIS MOVIE TO END!!!

  • Favorite characters: 1. Riff Raff 2. Magenta 3. Frank-N-Furter 4. Columbia 5. Dr. Scott 6. Eddie 7. Janet 8. Rocky 9. Brad 10. Criminologist
  • @rmcg678 basicly all of them then

  • The audio on this sounds a bit different than from the soundtrack. Did you put this together yourself or was it an extra on a DVD? Interesting stuff, either way, but I'd like to know.

  • Good ears. Yes, the original recording wasn't even in stereo - it was mono. The film was originally released in 1975 with mono sound. When the 15th Anniversary stereo film prints and VHS video were released in 1990, the soundtrack album versions of the songs were dubbed into the film, replacing the mono versions. The vocals on all the original mono film songs differ slightly from the stereo album takes. Most people agree the mono soundtrack is more emotional and haunting.

  • Also, I believe they sped it up slightly. The mono recording sounds abit slower.

  • @sacolton Do you know where I could get the original mono?

  • @sacolton would I sound really stupid if I asked what "mono sound" is? please understand this film was already 20 year old before i was even born, so I'm a little slow on these things... haha

are there any home releases with the original sound, or would it just be the updated versions? I'd be interested to hear the originals.

  • @sacolton Is the mono soundtrack available anywhere? I luv this film and wasnt even aware there was a mono recording available if at all

  • @sacolton do you know where can i find the mono soundtrack? I'd like to hear it but it isn't on youtube, is it?

  • Its kind of sad.

    I think without the clips

    it makes it sadder, but

I like how they go in order

with the song. I love Richard

    O'Brien. ^w^

  • ^.^ That's really good! I like it! :-D

  • I like how they show the cast in the order they're mentioned in the song.

  • great job!!!!

  • The finality and hopelessness of it makes you want to cry.

  • i lovee this ending version of this song its sad though..

  • ya true

  • this song always makes me sad since it starts out all promising at the beginning of the movie but then this song shows how they lost everything...this movie is my favorite movie of all time! i know every word to it!

  • @CASSIEandDAHN : me too, but the that I learned every song by heard by 13 makes me a bit concerned for myself... but nevermind I'm fabulous!

  • @CASSIEandDAHN I get sad when i heart his song because it indicates that the movie is over <:{ This is just one of those movies you just NEVER want to end!

  • @DCshirley thats why you go to a double feature!! :)

  • That's really good! But I prefer the one without the clips :P

  • Mr. Aday got the name Meatloaf from his High SChool football coach.

  • Sorry. Common knowledge, I suppose?

You're right. I'm young and stupid. But still. Meatloaf? How did he manage to obtain THAT as a nickname?

  • As a kid , Mr. Aday had a try-out for Football and stepped on the coatch' foot and the coach called him a meatloaf.

And this explains Meatloaf's nickname Meatloaf.

  • Geezz Young one, it was his nickname from about 8 years old

  • i cry every time i watch/hear this!

  • this song and superheroes are so depressing. Still really good songs, though.

  • My theater plays the version with Superheroes AND this SF/DF (Reprise) and has for a while now. I didn't even know any of this was cut from the normal version until I got my hands on a copy and was like.. WAIT WHAT?! THEY JUST SKIPPED SUPERHEROES! .. and the ending isn't the ending without this. The End.

  • I prefer the other ending without the clips. I love this song!

  • This song makes me so sad. A part of me wishes the movie ended happier, but the other part of me feels that it made me become more emotionally attatched to the movie, which I love.<3

  • yeh, same! lol

  • This was really interesting to see ... but I'm glad they didn't go with the ending. The film was over... no need to show clips again. It's nice to just see the still shot of the actors face along with their name. Thanks for sharing.

  • P.S I love the reprise of SF/DF here at the end. I perfer it to the more orchastrated one at the begining of the film (yeah i know i cant spell)

  • Im not sure what you mean by ending it too downbeat? are you refering to the ending with superheros? That is the only way I can even picture it ending. Im not sure if i have ever seen it the other way oddly enough since ive seen this movie like 300 time over the last 10 years or so. The copy i had taped from tv musta been the version that had it. then when i got the actual store bought vhs it was the 25th anniversery one. I like this ending i think without superheros it would be to abbrupt.

  • By too downbeat, they mean too depressing.

I thought that the UK version was better, the US (The dvd has both) version jumps to the end of superheroes, showing the camera panning away from the three of them on the ground, other than that it's exactly the same.

  • I like the clpis better too. I feel that it makes the characters feel real to the absurd-nature of them. :-)

  • I prefer this ending

  • I really like this ending.

  • like them both but this one better

  • I like this one better :)

BUt i also like the like real one :)

  • glad they did not use this. It ends the movie on a down note.

  • Ah.. Is it only me, but. This is the way it does end. the down note is planned. An alien comes to earth with something that we all could use. He get's done in by his own kind and we are left in a state of wanting and wishing. It feeds our fantasies. " Don't dream it, Be it."

  • Yes the film ends so. The only different is showing the actors.

  • this would of been such a better ending!

  • Well done.

  • I agree. It's the perfect closure with the reprise.

  • I never understood why they insisted in cutting the reprise form the film.

  • They didn't. It plays at the end over the credits...

  • I've seen different cuts.

    Some have it, some don't.

  • On the DVD they have it but with stills of the cast next to the globe.

  • The American production cut it because they figured it would be too downbeat an ending for an otherwise rather upbeat movie.

  • that was great he should have done that at the end

  • Well done.

  • nice...

  • it was pretty kool

  • i really liked it
