heh, at the last mission, I had something like 62 Ion Frigates, 6 Heavy Cruisers, 4 Carriers 15 Multi-Beam Frigates, 10 or so Destroyers. Nothing stood against that much firepower for very long.

Kadesh was freaky,  with those needle motherships ramming all your frigates. That and the Scrapyard thing with the 'Dog' that steals your heavy cruisers. Bridge of Sighs was the hardest mission by far

Salvage corvettes mmmmm...... There was no limit on the number of ships you could steal. So when i got to the board with the huge sphere of ion frigates, I stole a million of em. The rest of the game got real easy after that =)

In all honesty I think that was the hardest part of the game. After that you started to get capital ships and you could really project a strong presence away from the mothership once you had carriers.

A bug with this game though, the enemies force is as big as yours, so retire all your ships and then end the mission, then when the next starts, rebuild your fleet, the enemy will have hardly anything.

Once you learned how to buildnothing but salvage corvettes, the game was easy. Stealing the ships in the early boards was much more important than destroying them. When you steal your force , its so much easier.

Nahhh... but it was hard, kinda hard.

You must steal with corvettes almost all the ships you see.

I had like 20% of ships built by me, all the rest was stolen... every mission had to work perfectly.. the first time you try it is hard, especially the last mission, wich actually if You have a big fleet, you can win just by starting with a direct attack.

hard, yeah. all odds against ya. a few millions again 650k imigrands who lived on a desert planet for over 4k years. enemy ships are alway more. and some times you wonderin what tha fuck. do i got to face them all by my self O.o loved every second of the above.;P

The key to easy win - is to capture every possible ship during missions un till the last one. Then its not so hard.

In the last mission I had 13 multi-beam frigates, 7 Ion arry frigates, 3 havy cruisers, about 13 taidian support frigates and two carriers... Capturing enemy ships is my hobby :)

BTW: The best in-game music ever! Homeworld rulez!!!!!!!!!!

HA, I have been trying for months to beat this game just to see that last scene. I began the game, and when I lost capital ships, would just continue anyway, then realized that the last battle is freaking ridiculous and had to start over.
