That would have been one hell of a special effect, although it would have been completely lost on the audience in 1968. I don't know if Justin Bieber's father would have been old enough to get into the cinema at that point.
Remember, Justin Bieber was born in 1994. He is still not legally an adult.
"but you don't love me and you never love me at all" i'm not sure with the lyrics but this song i'm talking about is maybe from the 50's or 60's but this is an old song.
The Monkees really hoped a sequel to Head were to be made, because they had the idea of putting "From the people that gave you Head" on the sequels soundtrack lmao swear to god man.
@k77jones None You see their The Monkees . There is Davy Peter Mike and Micky. None are justin bieber and this was made way before justin was born anyways ok?
@whipchops I think it's from the "music video" for Daydream Believer, it's probably a still of them when they were singing. I'm sure even a perfect human such as yourself have been caught in a picture or two with a weird expression on your face because you were talking or something.
first time i heard this song was a cover version by Australian band The Church recorded back in the late 90s. i have Head on VHS and its a cool flick...
@heffernantj Head is out on Blu Ray now. It comes in a set with other movies like Easy Rider. It's like a 90.00 set, but I plan on buying it sometime.
In the opening of the movie Head, the Monkees jump off a bridge in slow motion as this song plays. One Monkee said they were symbolically killing off their manufactured images so their real selves could emerge. "Riding the backs of giraffes for laughs is alright for awhile" means it was fun rising to fame on the backs of the talents of others - but that gets old fast. "The eagles sings.." means relying on one's own talents - like the Beatles, or Monkees playing their own music on HeadQuarters.
This is such a great song, used very well in "Vanilla Sky." I know the Monkees were just a put-together-for-TV band, but a lot of there songs are really good. Besides this one, I mostly like the ones Mike sings: papa gene's blues, Salesman, Sweet young thing, etc.
@JohnnyTheWolfLupino It's a thinly veiled song about a psycadelic drug trip, as well as a clever description of the bands experiences with their T.V. show, the press, the media, the fans ( porpoises) etc.
All time favorite, I remember buying this album when it came out,
