@XradicalD Because in the emulator he is using, ZSNES, pressing 1 or 2, i forgot, will deactivate the viewing capeability of the Background layer 2.

After 9 years of developmental i knew why, hopefully it has been worth the wait.

He hide the layer 3 (Time, lives, item box) so we could see the blocks at 1:45, then he reactivated it after he entered the over world. Another mystery resolved.
