Comparing immigrants of the past to illegals of today is ridiculous for two main reasons:
1) Immigrants of the late 19th and early 20th century came to the USA legally, most through Ellis Island. They were processed, screened for health, etc.
2) There was no gov't welfare in the 19th and early 20th century. Immigrants were 100% financially on their own. Today, illegal aliens get loads of freebies and as soon as they have a kid here, they get tons more like welfare and food stamps and WIC.
I like how they get a black guy to defend illegal hispanics, because it's the U.S. black community that is getting hit the hardest by these illegals.
35% of Tyson Food's Arkanasas employees were black. Tyson Foods fired thousands of it's U.S. workers (including of course the blacks) and replaced them w/ illegal immigrants from Mexico (cause they work for about $9/hour vs $17/hour for the U.S. workers). A class action lawsuit was thrown out by a Bush appointed judge do to a "technicality".

People love to boast about how they're only against "ILLEGAL immigration" but those words ring hollow when you read the bigoted and xenophobic vitriol clearly directed against Hispanics and Hispanic-Americans regardless of their legal status.
What this video does, that is creepy and manipulative as well as dishonest, is to show an image of Lou Dobbs while talking about anti-immigrant hate, in order to associate this with Lou Dobbs. Lou Dobbs supports an increase of legal immigration and has an appreciation of Hispanics.
There is a general agreement that legal immigration is an asset to our country. By not making a distinction between legal and illegal immigration, this video is trying to muddy the waters.
