  • I have the same settings in my Skyrim.ini and I can't reproduce this at all, using the "bound bow" at least, on master or adept difficulty. I have several hundred hours of gameplay, mostly with archery, and I'm pretty sure I would've noticed. I have a bunch of cosmetic mods installed but nothing that says it affects aiming. Weird.

  • @zomgl2pnoobffs Sorry, bro, I play on Master and this horrible idea causes me to miss half my shots... lv 100 archery before anything else.

  • The NoAutoAim.esp from FO Las Vegas works with Skyrim as well. Beware though, the Eagle Eye Perk Mod that adds more zoom available on skyrimnexus also makes auto-aim apply again. Only when activated, though.

  • Sorry, that's the NoAutoAim.esp from the Skyrim AutoAim mod: @zeuber sorry, that's the NoAutoAim from the current Skyrim AutoAim mod

Those remove that horizontal autoaiming? I already knew that vertical. If so I thank you so much.

  • @Grufil No, those commands remove the aiming compensation when you are moving with a bow drawn (the arrows move effectively at the tips of the two sides).

  • Not that good a video as you would have hit the target either way.

  • @GraveRevnik ...how?

  • I'm suffering the same thing, while the target is stationary its not as big a problem as I'm lined up correctly anyway, what drives me to drink is when its full combat, if you are leading a target accurately and loose the arrow it magically jumps to where the NPC was positioned at the point of release rather than where they will be when the arrow arrives making perfectly lead shots fly behind a target running horizontally.

  • Good video, shows aiming aid clearly. I think it'd be OK if this was archery skill based, as it makes sense for a character who's good in archery to hit well, even if the player aims a bit off. But it should be possible to toggle it on/off.

I'm guessing the aided aiming is there because of the consoles, as it's trickier to aim with the pad, plus not all people even want it to be "realistic", just have fun. But I'm quite sure we'll get a mod to turn it off when the creation kit becomes available
