Wow... these comments have been downright violent. The Stanford football team and their fans deserve this chance to celebrate and enjoy a victory. USC is definitely an amazing school that puts more of an emphasis on football. This loss may have been a fluke or could have been a sign of things to come. Those are the facts. In my four years at Stanford-USC games, I've met many nice USC fans. But most have been downright rude-- calling me a stupid Stanford slut, or throwing things at me.

Yesterday was a great game, very close, & I see no reason for all the hate. USC has a great team, that's undeniable, & yesterday Stanford's team overcame numerous injuries, a several-year slump & a new coach for an unexpected upset. Let us enjoy that, & you can enjoy being #10.

I don't know about the boos because when I was there I was playing and screaming too loudly. However, as a member of the Stanford Band I have to say the USC attitude is pretty dismal. We had to have Police around us at the end of the game in case some drunk fan wanted to attack us. Though I will say most of the comments we got from USC fans afterwards were gracious. Please be like those people and let us enjoy our victory.

I've been to USC for games, and it is true that the fans were very mean. I was called all sorts of names, and someone made some comments about my mother. I'm all for joking around and talking about what school is better and what school is worse, and I'm not going to lie and say that Stanford can't get mean too, but I was surprised at how personal it got. Contrast that to the Notre Dame game I went to, where even though Stanford got destroyed everyone was very nice.
