I some how do not understand how the MIG 29 and SU 27 rate higher than the F15 and F16. The F15 has yet to be shot down in an air to air engagment by any fighter. Both the F15 and F16 have outperformed the MIG 29 in the Balkians, Iraq and elsewhere. The European fighters are perhaps a generation newer, but based on combat record you have to give the nod to the 4th generation American Fighters.
SU-30 and 35 are better than F18/15/16 and typhon for sure.. should be in second place. it was made to counter all those. better weapons ,longer range missiles and thrust vectoring for super maneuverability .the #1 will be Pak-Fa T50 once end trials and enter service. is SUperior to F22.

This is the first of these types of videos that I mostly agree with. The F-15SE can and would defeat the F-18Eor F. It has better radar and it is faster. Two very necessary things in combat.

(F-16 and F-15 should be higher on the list as they've been used extensively by the USAF and IAF) Not to mention the fact that you ranked the F/A-18 above the F-15. The F/A-18 doesn't come close to the track record that the F-15 has. The only leg up is has is carrier based, but that doesn't amount for shit when you have an arifield in every damned country.

I'm from Europe (UK) and largely agree. The tornado might have been a more realistic UK entry. It's like the top sniper shot videos. The record is held by an Accuracy International in .338; a technically 'inferior' rifle.
@cmbara102 The F-15 and F- 16 were not rated as high because they are much older fightres. The F-18 Super Hornet much newer with superior avionics and much upgraded radar systems. The same can be said for the Euro fighter. The F-6 Hellcat has many more kills than all 10 of these put together, bur we all know it couldnt compete with todays newer fighters. These 10 are also so close that who ever is the best pilot or the luckiest, is going to win the dogfight.

The f15 has been the most successful fighter jet ever built.
The f22 is definitely without a doubt the most advance, most expensive and for all intents and purposes, best fighter jet in service. It was leaps and bounds ahead of its competition at the time of development.
The su35/37 are the most maneuverable jets I've seen (although the su37 has been canned and theres only a handful of su35 around i think).
There are other planes in development I know, but to mention them seems rather silly.

The funny thing about how far superior the U.S Air Force & Military are over the rest of the world, is that we all know they easily would crush every spot on this “top ten” list, with planes that the rest of the world has never even seen, and they will never see. Everyone was excited to see the stealth helicopter that crash landed in Pakistan, which we probably were already fazing out anyways.
Its the F-22. I agree, but I think the tail design really detracts from a graceful, aerodynamic appearance. It makes the plane look sort of clunky in profile. But, its gorgeous from the overhead view.
You americans talk too much, I'm Costa Rican and my opinion is that the Su-50, a russian aircraft is the best, or also F-35, but all that crap wouldn't be better than stealth, F-22 is old.

Its not the technology that matter in war, but the "Pilot's techniques & bravery". If your pilots are not well trained then your aircraft's technology is just garbage. And I think that Pakistan's pilots are best in the world than all others. Because only Pakistan Air Force has world record to destroy 5 IAF's(Indian Air Force) aircrafts just in less than a minute.

LOL at raptor being number one. way to google search "cool jets" and make a shit top 10. super hornet is better than the raptor and so is the f-35 arguably. but all lockheed martin planes are full of flaws, probably the only reason they fly is because of northrop grumman's involvement. every review of a lockheed martin plane hails in comparison to boeing or sukhoi. probably because they scam the US citizens all day and night, just like raytheon's overinflates everything they sell.

@RegentDevil2 Yeah, F22 may lose to super hornet in a dogfight but the air battle now largely rely on missiles. But super hornet fails to hav the stealth qualities of F22 and the latest F22 updates such as Increment 3.2 gave F22 much better avionics and geolocation

The funny thing about how far superior the U.S Air Force & Military are over the rest of the world, is that we all know they easily would crush every spot on this “top ten” list, with planes that the rest of the world has never even seen, and they will never see. Everyone was excited to see the stealth helicopter that crash landed in Pakistan, which we probably were already fazing out anyways.

Its the F-22. I agree, but I think the tail design really detracts from a graceful, aerodynamic appearance. It makes the plane look sort of clunky in profile. But, its gorgeous from the overhead view.
