Cheng Fei imploded, Shawn's routine was disconnected and iffy on getting some things credited, Nastia's routine was never Olympic gold material (unless EVERYBODY screwed up), and Alicia Sacramone didn't qualify which is how Nastia did.

Jiang Yuyuan should of won the women's final in floor. To me, this routine she pulled off in the floor final yesterday was perfect and more exciting than any other gymnasts I saw. Her routine actually flowed with her music. Does anyone agree?

No...all top 3s were better than her. There were no major mistakes on her exercise, but there were several checks here and there, which the top 3s had very little or none at all. The Romanian who won it stuck all her landings perfectly.

I am Chinese so I wanted her and Fei to get medals, but I gotta be honest. 4th seems right for her performance. As for Fei, she was terrible.

I like Jiang Yuyuan very much. I enjoy her floor exercise because she actually does the dance portion very well. Other contestant are only concerned with technical skills, such as difficult tumbling passes. Yuyuan has expressive body and good rhythm to create a complete floor exercise routine.

actually i checked as you said, "jiang nationals 2005" and she looks like 11. But i decided to not care about this stuff. Comaneci won in 1976 at the age of 14 before the age was changed, maybe FIG should accept that in our sport, girls tend to peak early. But that's not my concern as a spectator and what a spectacle Team Finals were!! Jiang is now olympic champion with her team. Their performance gave me goosebumps. Even with Cheng Fei's fall on BB, they were practially flawless and unbeatable.

What I meant by "that's not my concern as a spectator" was that if FIG doesn't have a problem with any of the gymnast's age, what can I do about it first of all? Secondly "the destructive physical demands on their bodies" are the same for all the top gymnasts, whether from China, the US, Romania, Russia, France, Italy, Great Britain. You name it.

Thirdly, children obviously can by definition NOT be complicit of anything, since they are minors.

The chinese gymnasts are products of the "mother-land", they were fed and taught a trade by the country so they could represent it and win medals. They do not have much say in anything. And finally, and perhaps that is the most important point; their parents send them to gyms thousands of miles from home not to "entertain" us, but mainly so they could be fed properly. Then hopefully so they could do well in competitions and give their family a better life.

Her triple full made it round. It was worlds apart from say, Pavlovas iffy triple.

they gave Pavs a 6.000 A Score when she had only 5.9, gave He Kexin a 7.5 on bars when she only had a 7.4

they probably devalued her triple because her A Score was 5.8, and she scored 14.925
